Standing out in the rain Layla sighed as she heard Klaus and Rebekah talking. This is not how she wanted her night to go.

Stefan smiled at her as he and Caroline talked. Hayley just had to be here so that made her night worse and Klaus had left her under the umbrella to talk to Rebekah. And she was really cold. Her personal heater was 3 people away.

Father Kieran was stood near by as well. "Are you ready to do this?"

Klaus took the knife and looked at Layla. She then slit his hand and handed it to Rebekah, her doing the same. Then Elijah. Klaus had walked over to Layla again. Standing beside her under the umbrella. Elijah handed the knife to Layla.

She took a deep breath and slit her wrist. It healing almost immediately. Father Kieran took the blade from Klaus who had taken it from Layla and threw it atop Esthers casket. "It is done."

Layla sighed as she leaned into Klaus.

——

They were now standing with Sophie waiting for Davina to come.

Stefan and Caroline were conversing between themselves while Klaus was not leaving Layla's side. He didn't want her alone, especially tonight.

"Fire." Sophies voice brought Layla back. She looked over to see Marcel and Davina.

Sophie put the blade in her hand over fire and then stood on the platform. "Do you believe in the harvest?"

"I believe."

Sophie put the blade to Davina's throat and then slit it. Marcel catching the witch.

Layla turned her head into Klaus's chest. The hybrid wrapped his arms around her, one on her waste the other on the back of her head.

"After the harvest, comes the reaping." Sophie says as Stefan grabs Layla's hand. "Their sacrifices made and accepted. We call upon our elders to resurrect your chosen ones." When nothing happens Sophie says it again. "We call upon our elders to resurrect your chosen ones." Nothing. "Please. I beg."

Nothing happens.

Sophie sobs into Moniques body as Marcel speeds away.

Klaus looks at Layla. Stefan and Caroline looking over at them.

Layla nods. "Go"

Klaus speeds after Marcel.

As Layla, Stefan and Caroline made their way back to the compound she lead them to the nursery. "This is her nursery."

Stefan looked around with tears in his eyes. "Do you remember when we took a trip to France?" He looked at Layla.

Layla looked at him and laughed. "Of course i do. There was a french boy who asked me out and you looked as if you were about to shit your pants."

Stefan glared at her. "It was when i finally found the courage to tell you i was a vampire." Caroline sat down in a chair. Listening intently.

"I remember." Layla grabs his hand. "You were really scared."

"But i knew you trusted me, and i trusted you." He squeezes her hand. "I still do."

Layla looks around the room. "I wanted to tell you. Nik and I talked about it. I planned on coming to see you once all of this stuff with Davina was over." She sighed. "I had a whole plan."

Stefan pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her frame. "I dont want you to leave me out of your life. Your my daughter, i want to be apart of you growing."

Layla sniffles into his chest. "I thought you would be mad. Especially since you hate Nik and everything he's done."

Stefan holds her tighter. "If you love him then i will learn too. I trust you, so if you trust him then i'll work on it."

Layla smiles as she pulls away from him. "I have something for you." Stefan scrunches his brows. She walks over to the table and grabs the book Leah had found for her. "It was supposed to be your birthday present, but i never got the chance to see you." Layla hands it to him.

Stefan flips open the book to see her handwriting and pictures of them. "Layla-"

"Its just a little something so you always remember how much i love you."

Stefan hugs her tightly. "I love you more."

After sending Stefan and Caroline home. With a promise she would call them every day. Layla walked back to the compound. Tired and ready for bed.

She sighed as she showered. When she walked into her room, there was a book sitting on the fire place. One she had never seen before.

Layla had assumed Stefan left it so she picked it up and opened it. Only to find words. Not in Stefan's hand writing but someone else's. She had seen it before.

Layla read through the first page.

Always and Forever was never meant for me. It was my sister and brother's promise. Finn and I we're never included. So why do they pretend we are? Why are we always daggered   yet always told what to do? When do I get a break?

Niklaus and Elijah do not know what i have been doing. But you will soon. I swear to it. Me and Finn will make them pay, and maybe you will help. I'm sure we will make a great team.

It was almost as if it was a diary, but Layla knew it wasn't. Someone would never write this in a diary and then leave it around. Well as long as your not Stefan.

There was only one person she knew would right this. And with this hand writing she was sure.

Kol Mikaelson.
