Isn't it always

     Layla had gotten up and walked around the  house for a little while. When she was in a room she felt a pain in her neck. "Ah!" She looks at her hand.

"What the hell was that all about?" Rebekah asks just walking into the room looking at the pregnant women.

Hayley had went out to get some groceries about 10 minutes ago and wouldn't be back for another hour, so that left Rebekah to take care of Layla.

"I don't know but it felt like something had just stabbed me" Rebekah moves her hair to the side and looks at her neck seeing nothing and sighs.

"How about we go sit down yeah?" Layla nods and Rebekah guides her down the steps and into a chair.

Rebekah went to go get an apple and some water leaving Layla alone for a moment. The blonde sighs for a moment wondering why she felt that pain when Rebekah walks back in. "It is time for the devil spawn to snack"

"I'd really wish you would stop calling her that"

"Well im sorry. Have you picked another name yet." Rebekah holds out the bowel and sets down the water. "Take one, the plantation is lousy with them." Looking at them carefully and then picking the one on top Layla smiles a little. "How's your neck?"

Layla shrugs. "I feel okay which is weird but im sure this is Sophie related so."

"Well do me a favor and don't die on my watch. I'll never hear the end of it from all 3 of those grown children." Rebekah smiles as the blonde laughs a little, knowing the girl in front of her always loves to smile and make people happy when ever she can.

"Hey Bekah?"

"Yeah sweets?"

"You'll be there when i have this baby right? Because i want you there i mean you are really important to me." Layla looks at her hands waiting for the women to answer.

"Of course i will be there are you nuts?" Rebekah says with a straight face not knowing if she actually will be seeing as she came here for Elijah and then is going right back home.

Layla shakes her head going to take a bite out of her apple when she her head starts to hurt. "Whats wrong?" Rebekah asks seeing her eyes close for a minute like she was hurt.

"I don't know, its probably just morning sickness." Rebekah puts her hand on Layla's forhead.

"You're burning up actually."

Rebekah had forced Layla into bed as she had a high temperature, Hayley had gotten home a few minutes ago and didn't know where anyone was. So walking into a room with Rebekah hovering over her best friend was not what she expected. "Stop whining will you, Elijah should be here any minute."

"What's going on?" Hayley asks.

"Layla here has gotten herself a fever and i don't know why." Rebekah answers sparing a glance at the brunette.

Layla coughs to get their attention. "I feel like I've been microwaved."

"Hey, just because you're carrying a baby doesn't mean you get to act like one." Hayley tells her friend as she sits down on the bed opposite of Rebekah.

"Yeah and im sure, that my little niece is healing you up as we speak." Rebekah says patting a wet towel against her forehead. Just then Elijah and Sophie walk into the room causing Rebekah to hand the towel to Hayley and jump up. "What the hell is she doing here?"

"Im trying to help." Sophie answers looking at Rebekah and then Layla.

"Help? You're the reason we're in this bloody mess. Why aren't we unlinked with this witch already, Elijah?" Rebekah snaps scared for her new found sister.

Elijah shifts in his spot a little bit. "Rebekah, let her do what she can." He speaks in a soft tone.

"I may know a way to slow down the fever, but I'm gonna need some special herbs. I'll text you a list." Sophie says looking at Rebekah when she says that last part.

Rebekah looks back to Layla and sighs tilting her head. "Fine. Happy to play the fetch girl." and then she walks out of the room sending a smile to Layla who gives a weak smile back.

Hey guys, another short one. I am so sorry i haven't been super active. This one took me forever to write because I've been a little busy lately with school and all.
