Layla had woken up to the sound of Klaus talking with his vampires.

She had spent all night thinking about Kols book. It was only 1 page but it confirmed her. How could he know she would read it? How is it still here?

Layla wondered what was going to happen. Clearly something was about to go down. She just couldn't figure out what.

Layla had gotten ready and then headed to the library. Well more like a room full of books that resided in the darker corner of the compound.

Klaus probably didn't even know it was there thats how far back it is.

Layla had found it the first day she got here.

The interesting thing about it is that there was a chest full of magical books in it. After what happened last night. Layla knew something was wrong.

Where did all that magic go?

So thats why she was sitting on the floor reading through Kols older books. Apparently the boy was a warlock before he was turned. Layla had learned some stuff about him. He was broken hearted. Thats why he always acted out.

He was the black sheep. Rebekah, Elijah, and Nik had a promise together. While Kol and Finn were left out. Nik had kept them both daggered for such a long time. Layla understands what Kol went through. Why he is the way he is.

Layla had always hoped to meet Kol one day. But he had died before she had gotten the chance. Stefan had told her about the originals and she loved hearing what ever he had to say about Kol. Even if it was negative most of the time.

Layla had read only a couple pages before the book across the table flipped open. It turned to a certain page.

Papa Tunde

Layla furrowed her brows and looked up. Sue saw no one and nothing else has changed. She looked out the window before reading on. There wasn't much in the book beside he practiced dark magic. And that him and the originals were not on good terms.

Layla grabbed the book and walked down to the courtyard. She saw the vampires all looking at Elijah.

Elijah looked at Layla and gave her a smile.

"Tell Klaus I'm heading out?" Elijah nodded. "Thanks"

Layla had walked off with 2 books in hand. Elijah had wondered what she was doing. He shook it off before walking away from the courtyard.

——

Layla sat in the coffee shop as she read through one of Kols journals.

I fear my brothers will tear me down. Maybe one day they will rid of me forever. Niklaus needs to be stopped. He will ruin us all.

Just then she felt a whirl of wind rush by and Elijah was sitting right in front of her. "I need your help."

——

"So the babies blood will get Rebekah out of there?" Layla pointed towards where Rebekah was laying. Hayley on the other side.

"Yes."

"Then do it." Layla held her arm out to Elijah. He looked at her to make sure and when she nodded he bit into her wrist.

"Ow"

Elijah put her hand over the ring of salt and as the blood dripped onto it the salt bubbled. When it reached back around Elijah stepped in and grabbed his sister.

Elijah had made sure Layla was okay before leaving her alone with Hayley. Both girls were still rocky. "So uh, how are you?" Hayley looked at her best friend wondering where she went wrong.

"Pretty good." Layla smiled at her.

"I miss you." Hayley finally admits.

"Me too." Layla breathes out.

"Does this mean we're okay again? Because Layla i am so sorry for everything i have said or done." Hayley walked closer to Layla.

Layla nods. "Yeah, we're good." Layla smiles as Hayley hugs her.

"Soon, Layla. We shall take down my brothers together. Finn, mother, you and I. We will be a team." Kol smiled at her from the other side. He has watched her since she became pregnant.

But now was his chance to finally make a move. She wanted to know him, he needed her help. It was a win win.

Finn smiled at his youngest brother. "You really think she will help us brother?"

Kol nods. "She will. That baby she is carrying will need my help to harvest her power. After all, there is a bit of devil in that child."

Finn nods at his brother. "Well then, you better start preparing. Mother wants to start soon."

Kol smirks. "Soon Layla Andrews, soon."

He watched as Layla laid in bed. Reading through the books he had written over the years. He wasn't Niklaus who could paint. And he wasn't Elijah who wrote about keeping family together. He was Kol, who wrote to Layla. Knowing one day she would find those books and help him.
