'7 years!' the man across the table from sunhee shouts before ducking his head down out of embarrassment from his shocked outburst.
sunhee nods gently, curling her lips in.
'that is so unfair, some of our group members only trained for two years. i thought you were joining itzy though, i was taking to sana about it last year and thats what she told me. '
ohhh, that explains the confusion then. sana is like a sister to sunhee. they trust eachother with almost everything so that must be how chan knows about the whole itzy situation. that's if he didnt see it in the news.
'i was going to, but you know, stuff got in the way.' she shrugs and leans down to sip her drink. her words make her seem unbothered but chan spots her flaired eyes and inhales quickly.
'anyways, we're off track, we need to figure out what we're going to do with you. i cant exactly add you into the mixtape we just relaleased, so you'll have to join for the next album.'
'honestly chan, i'm fine with whatever we do aslong as i have a group.'.
"I'm glad you're being cooperative sunhee, it makes this all so much easier."
"of course I'm cooperative! I'm so greatful for this opportunity. I was just wondering though, what's our plan from here?" She asks.
"so, we've already figured out our concept and we're working on the songs and choreography and such now."
"I can help with the choreo and songwriting if that's okay! ive actually created quite a few songs and dances myself."
she bends down to grab something from her bag and produces a massive folder.
'this might help you to see my talent and its variety.', she places the folder down and grunts as it hits the table with a bang, grabbing the attention of several trainees eating their lunch in the cafeteria with them.
'careful!' chan laughs, 'i dont want my new group member already getting herself hurt.'
he says it like a joke but still looks at her kindly. surely he cant already care for her? shes only just joined his group and this is their first time officialy meeting.
sunhee returns a smile, her cheeks now dashed with a crimson colour, and opens the first page showing the story of how and when she moved to seoul, how she got taught the language by her korean mum. the next page shows all the times shes been a backup dancer for bands and her performance reviews. there are several pages after that showing the songs she has written and the techniques she had used to write them.
'sorry sunhee, i dont think we can accept you into our group, you might just be too good!' chan jokes raising his eyebrows and displaying a toothy grin. sunhee giggles and gently shoves him. dramatically, he leans back in his seat and pretends to fall off.
'give over, you big loof!' sunhee giggles and waves her hand around dramatically causing another smile.
rather than continuing messing around, a stern expression sets itself on chans face, he nods at the folder, 'genuinely though sunhee, this is really good. i mean i didnt expect any different since you've been a trainee for so long.'.
sunhees tongue pokes out of the corner of her mouth and her eyes shift to the side,
'thankyou, chan.'
'its no problem at all. put it away now though, i want to introduce you to some of the other members, theyre at the dorm right now.' he explains, packing up all of his things and chucking his rubbish in the bin.
sunhee places her folder neatly into her bag and stands up, following the lead of chan who makes his way out of the door.
'whats your birthdate sunhee? im only asking so i know where you are in comparison to the boys and i in age.'.
