"Out?" Her eyebrows furrow in confusion as his raise along with his rapidly quickening heartbeat.
"Jeongin didn't tell you? He organized for us to go out for the day." He places the flowers into her hand, carefully unclenching her fists before doing so.
Sunhee begins to move her head in circles, unsure whether she should be nodding or shaking her head. "Um... y-yes?"
"Yeah, he, well, texted me this morning saying you needed a pick-me-up from the fight with Han, you know."
For her, Jeongin was plenty of a pick-me-up just with his presence, let alone his actions.
Sunhee nods her head as he continues talking. "So, I got you this," he places the bag into her hands, "and then we can get on with our date." Felix smiles widely, not noticing the twitch of Sunhee's eyes.
"A date?"
"That's what Jeongin said." Felix's mouth flickers between a smile and a frown.
Noticing this, Sunhee rubs his arm with the back of her hand. "If he wants it to be a date, it can be a date. Give me five minutes to get dressed and I'll be right out."
Gripping the flowers in her hands, Sunhee slips back into her room.
This has to be a joke, right? Just a few hours ago, Jeongin had been in her bed, cuddling her, limbs interlocked.
Sunhee discards the flowers on top of her dresser and begins searching for clothes, a dress and jeans to be exact.
She knows she likes Jeongin; there's no point in denying it. And it kind of seemed like he liked her back... or it did.
How could he be setting her up on a date after cuddles in the kitchen, cuddles in *bed*, making her tea, going on walks, holding hands, giving her his coat, calling her adorable?
Ugh, what even is life?!
Slipping on her socks, she slides Felix's sympathetic gift across the floor.
Tossing her hair into a ponytail, she steps out of the door to meet eyes with a dumbfounded Felix. His face turns crimson as his fingers fly up to check his pulse on his neck. "You look beautiful."
"I prefer adorable." She smirks, giggling to herself. Felix just nods his head, allowing her to link arms with him.
"Shall we get going, sunshine?"
"What?" His head tilts as she begins pulling him toward the kitchen, where Seungmin is eating cold pizza in the living room. His face contorts in confusion, and his pizza splats onto his plate. "What about Jeongin?" he stutters, wiping sauce from his chin.
"Yeah, you tell him about this, would you?" Sunhee points at her hand as she interlocks it with Felix's. Seungmin nods obediently as they walk out.
A few steps down the road, Sunhee unlinks their fingers and goes back to linking arms.
"We've all missed you this last week, Sunhee."
"All of you?"
"I'll only talk about this for two minutes because I know you won't want to talk about it, and the last thing I want to do is make you uncomfortable." He stops on the path and turns to face her. "Han wants to sort things out with you. He told me to ask you to get coffee with him."
Sunhee takes a second to rub her chin, pretending to think. "Hmm, ooh, let me consider it." She grabs his chin to shake his head. "Not. A. Chance."
"That's fine, I get it. I wouldn't want to talk to him either." He removes his chin from her hand, but her hand remains suspended in the air.
