"Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na.", although tired of saying the same word over and over again, Sunhee manages to say the few lyrics perfectly.
She slips the headphones from her ears to her neck and peers around Jeongin to look at 3racha outside of the booth. Her thumb sticks up and then down,
"Good, or bad?" she mouths to them and they all nod, thumbs up in the air. Infront of her Jeongin smiles at the small trait she had picked up off of him.
"Chorus now! " Changbin shouts, although the three voclists in the recording booth can barely make out what he says.
When discussing the lines the other day they had decided to have Seungmin and Jeongin share the last chorus and have just Sunhee do the first one alone.
As a quote, Jeongin had said 'We need to show off your beautiful vocals Sunhee.'.
"Last bit of recording! Hwaiting!" Jeongin gently grabs her shoulders to bend down, face to face with Sunhee who shakes her fist, smiling. Jeongin flashes his cute, wide smile and stands up straight.
Oh his smile! His glowing smile fills Sunhee with the confidence of a million words, soemthing no ordinary person could do.
As quick as they had begun their session in the booth, Sunhee flows through the chorus perfectly, not needing to retry or change her pitch. It may seem simple but to those in her group, it means alot. They prided them selves in being excelent vocalist aswell as all other traits and Sunhee didn't fail to meet their standards.
Jeongin beems next to her quietly but as soon as he hears the click of the mic turning off he seems to explode, "you did so great! Sunhee that was so good."
He grabs her hands and jumps up and down, his smile never leaving his face. Sunhee tightens her grip on his soft hands and jumps with him,
"Dont praise me, praise yourself, you did great aswell!"
"Ahhhh!" he leans back, open mouthed and streched out arms, making Sunhee giggle again.
The only thing that brings them apart is the sound of the door clicking and Seungmin leaving.
"Bye then." Sunhee jokes but is soon to follow him out and join the rest of the boys.
Finding Felix and standing with him, she notices chan approaching her, a solemn look on his face.
"Sunhee, can we talk for a sec?" Chan asks with a shaky voice. Sunhee simply nods, her heart beginning to race with panic.
She allows herself to be pulled to the side, seperating her from felix who stays clutching her hand until she's too far.
Around the corner, she fiddles with the skin around her fingers, trying not to worry too much about whatever is plaguing Chans busy mind,
"Sunhee." Chans eyes ripple with salty tears, igniting further panic in Sunhee.
Shit! She cant deal with people crying. She does the best she can, "Oh sugar, she shit. Chan, what happened?"
He lifts a dramatic finger to his water line and wipes the tears away,
"I'm just so proud of you Sunhee." he sobs, choking slightly.
She wasn't sure what to respond, taken off guard in the best way possible.
"Fucking hell Chan!" she sighs, her eye twitching, "You had me thinking someone died."
"No, its just," he sniffs, holding a clutched hand to his heart, "I remember your first day as a trainee and you've just grown so much vocally." He reaches out and squeezes her hand sympathetically, "I'm here for you Sunhee, we all are."
