In the comfy area that is her living room, Sunhee finds herself fully dressed and ready to go out, with nowhere to go.

She'd woken up in one of those motivated moods, feeling as though she could conquer the world with her new success of finishing up her first album. But as soon as she'd put on her shoes and set her hand on the door handle, all that motivation seemed to simply... drain from her.

Laying on her back, she finds herself mindlessly playing on the Minecraft server Felix had forced her to join, tending to their cute bubblegum-themed farm.

Lost in the online world, Sunhee basically jumps when she sees a notification from Chan in full caps,

[NOT DEAD DAD]

C: LIM SUNHEE.

S: BANG CHRISTOPHER CHAN

C: I wish Felix hadn't told you that.

S: It was payback for Yongbok TT

C: Okay, Annie.

She could practically see his smug smile through the screen.

S: OKAY SHUSH.

C: Never.

C: Anyways, I text to ask if you wanted to go to the mall. I want to buy you some things.

S: OMG YES.

S: YES*

S: COME PICK ME UP CHANNIEIEIEIEIE

C: I'm outside.

Shit. Leaping out of her seat, she grabs her things and runs to the door, quickly shouting goodbye to the two boys who probably remain asleep in their own beds.

Shutting the door behind her, Sunhee spots Chan in his car, his head poking out of the window slightly, "Hey Sunhee!"

Skipping up to him, she lets out a laugh, "How long have you been out here?"

"That's for me to know and you to wonder." He taps his nose as she slips into the passenger seat.

"You sound like my grandpa." She looks at his disappointed face, "Hey, you even look like him!" She giggles and points as he rolls his eyes in a very un-grandpa-like way and begins to drive towards the mall.

"Hey Sunhee, do you know why I'm taking you shopping?" Chan nudges her.

"No, why?" Maybe he's just in a generous mood.

"It's 'cause," he leans closer to her for dramatic effect, "I'm very proud of you."

He better not start crying. She doesn't have the other members to rely on this time.

"Proud? Thank you, but how come?" Her thumbs begin their swirling patterns again.

"You've handled this whole idol thing a lot better than most. I haven't even seen you cry yet." He can't help but think back to all the times he's held his other members while they cried. But not Sunhee.

She shrugs her shoulders, "I'm not much of a crier." The only times she had cried recently were because of hate and that one time Felix bought her a donut during one of her period cravings.

"Not just that. You showed great initiative and maturity." He smiles proudly.

"Thank you, Channie, you're not too bad yourself." She teases, a small smile on her face, "Anyways!" She taps his steering wheel, gently signaling for him to start driving, and he does just that.

As his car cruises down the road, Sunhee finds herself singing along to his music under her breath until he hears her.

Noticing her shy demeanor, he begins to sing, his voice loud and clear as he sings along to "Back to Black" by AC/DC, leaning his head out of the window to let the cold wind blow into his soft hair.

After about ten minutes of singing along to Chan's random playlist, he pulls into the mall parking lot and searches for a space, asking Sunhee to "keep her eyes peeled for any spaces," reminding her slightly of the old men back home.

Finally finding a space, Chan pulls in and unclips his belt.

Before Sunhee can even reach the door handle, Chan shoves a black cap on her head and some sunglasses on her eyes.

"Oh my god?" She turns to Chan, holding the arms of the glasses. He slips his hood over his head and puts on a face mask, "Oh my god?" He mocks, his Aussie accent more prominent than ever.

"People know your face now, Sunhee. We have to hide it." He taps her glasses lens as she pulls a face.

"They've only seen my shadow, silly!" She knocks his hand away as he shakes his head, "You never know, Sunhee."

"I think this is just your chance at playing Inspector Gadget!" She laughs, slipping out of the car with him.

"No, Sunhee, 'cause if people recognize me, they'll know who you are." He guides her to the staircase. Sunhee sighs slightly as they reach the stairs before sharply inhaling at a fun thought.

"Chan! Race?" She grabs the handrail, ready to fly up the stairs as fast as she can. At her feet, he bends over and holds his back, wincing.

"But Sunhee," he puts on an old man voice, not that he had to change much in his voice, "you know your old dad is aching."

That's one way to put it.

"You're such a grandpa." She sighs, letting him dramatically hobble up the stairs past her, "You know who would race me? Jeongin." She sighs, dragging her feet up the stairs.

After three long flights of stairs, they reach the top, and instantly Sunhee squeals, spotting her favorite cute shop—Miniso.

Grabbing Chan's wrist, she pulls him over to marvel at the items in the window, some star-shaped fairy lights, cute strawberry pens and—oh my god?!

A whole raccoon selection!

Sunhee pulls Chan further into the shop and zooms past people until she reaches the raccoon selection containing blankets, pillows, stationery, cups, and chopsticks!

She has to have something, just look at her representative animal!

"Chan, should I get everything?" She asks, arms in the air, pretending to scoop it all up.

"It won't put a dent in your wallet so... yeah! You should get it all." His arms fold together as Sunhee raises an eyebrow, "Wait, why?"

"You didn't think I was only driving you here, did you? I'm buying it for you."

Sunhee takes a second to figure out what he's saying, "But I'm—but you don't even know me that much."

"And?" He shrugs, "You're family, Sunhee. Don't worry." His hands lay reassuringly on her shoulder, "Plus, you've only just stopped being a trainee and I've been getting a big income for about four years. It would be unfair to let you pay."

Before she can think, she finds herself flying at him, her hands wrapping around him in a tight hug, "Thank you, Chan! Oh my god, I love you so much!" She smiles up at him before grabbing one of each item and carefully placing them in her basket.

She'd never had anyone buy her anything other than a meal. Especially not without a limit.

After placing her last item, a raccoon-shaped mug with little ears and a tail, she makes sure to grab a puppy and fox mug for her two friends.

Skipping, she goes to find Chan and finds him standing, waiting for her at the till, his card already in his hand.

He takes the basket off her and lets the cashier do his thing—scanning, swiping, packing.

After he finishes, they walk out, massive, stuffed bags in their hands.

"You need any clothes?" He asks, pointing to the store her and Jeongin had stood in just a week ago. To this, Sunhee shakes her head, her shopping trip fulfilled by the amounts of raccoon items in the bags swinging against her leg.

All thanks to Chan.

Sometimes she wonders if this lifestyle suits her more. Rather than looking after her brother alone, now she has an older brother. A brother who takes her out and buys her silly raccoon things.

Maybe she needs this after being the big sister for her whole life.
