𖦹° Sehmat's Pov :

He wasn't letting go of the hug, so I gently patted his back, trying to calm him down. Being so close, I could feel something beating on my right side - his heart.

" hey, look at me" I moved back slowly breaking the hug and he gazed at me with a really shocked expression on his face.

" as a doctor I'll try to help you, tell me what's wrong, do you have any difficulty in sleeping ? did you get any haunting nightmares?" I asked ever so politely.

He didn't say anything and stood still, looking at me with terrified eyes and a shocked expression. He took a few steps back, as if he had seen a ghost. His body language screamed terror. He ordered me to move away from him and go away.

I walked closer to him, unsure of what to do. "Go away, Doctor Sehmat. I might hurt you," he said, looking vulnerable. My heart clenched at his words. What does he mean by that?

" calm down rayyan, we can talk about it nicely, tell me, is something bothering you?" I asked politely walking closer to him with tiny steps.

He moved back a little more, saying, "I'm a killer, I'm a killer. Stop coming near me, I'll hurt you. Stop, Doctor Sehmat." His voice was shaky, and tears filled his eyes.

He held his hand near his mouth to stop his chin from wobbling, his hands shaking miserably.

I didn't understand what he was really trying to say, so my brows furrowed in confusion. He continued taking steps back, and I became worried that he might hurt himself on the balcony railing. Without thinking, I quickly grabbed his arm and pulled him towards my side.

His eyes had a dark shade of red, with tears glistening in them. I could clearly see the under-eye bags, which were more prominent and vibrant this time. His features looked tired and somber.

" don't touch me, I might kill you, I'm a killer" he murmured a second before nuzzling and dipping his head in the crook of my neck making my heart stop from beating.

I could feel my breathing's stiffening and shivers running down my spine with a rush of adrenaline that heat up my cheeks.

I don't know what was wrong with me, but I simply patted his back to calm him. It was unbearable for me to see how miserable he looked. My heart ached as I thought about his suffering. He kept grumbling and talking about being a killer.

But I couldn't truly believe his words because his chin wobbled, his lips trembled, and his hands were shaking. My heart couldn't accept his words because I was trying to understand the emotions behind his glistening teary eyes.

he seemed to be traumatised, by his nightmares and misery.

He distanced himself from me and locked eyes with me. It seemed like a moment of realization struck him. He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a frustrated growl, continuously rubbing his hands on his face.
