You were sitting under an old tree on the castle grounds, close to the black lake it was a nice warm afternoon with a refreshing breeze blowing occasionally. You wanted some time alone to enjoy the new muggle book you acquired the day before, it was the first novel of an Irish author you admire a lot. You heard it was scandalous, but that tends to happen with fiction.

You enjoyed a quiet reading until Sebastian arrived with the book you lent him a couple of days ago.

"MC, I finished your muggle book." he sat next to you and handed you the book.

"Hello to you too" you greeted sarcastically "Did you come all the way from the castle to tell me that? " you could tell he was eager to talk about the book, but you liked teasing him.

"Yes, but also there is something I don't get. I was sure that this Mr. Hyde was secretly a wizard using a Polyjuice potion..."

You laughed at that though.

"I told you, there are no wizards in this book. They are muggle stories for a reason, Sebastian"

"But that's where you are wrong, Jekyll has to be a wizard. He made a potion to create Hyde."

It wasn't the first time you had lent him nor Ominis some of your muggle books, you had explained to them a thousand times there wasn't any magic involved, but every time they came up with a new magical theory you thought it was funny how they have a hard time with it.

"Is not that kind of potion, Sebastian."

"How is he not a wizard? He made a dark version of himself by drinking a potion he created."
Sebastian was frustrated and you were enjoying it.

"You understand it wrong" you tried to hide your laugh but it didn't work.

"Fine, explain it to me"

So you tried as best as you could. You had read this book a couple of times, you got it as a so sorry you are not going to Hogwarts gift from your parents when you were eleven, freshly out of the publishing house. You didn't understand it on the first try, and you knew even five years after its publication it had continued to cause a stir.

"Jekyll didn't make Hyde, Hyde was a repressed part of Jekyll. They are the same person, with the same impulses and desires. Jekyll tried to restring himself to fit into social expectations, that's why he enjoyed being Hyde and let his primitive impulses loose, at least at the beginning" he paid close attention to your words, you thought you hadn't seen him this concentrated in class ever.

"So, he was like some kind of werewolf then?" you just stared at him and blinked.

"S-something like that, I guess. It's more of a criticism of human morality and less about losing control over a full moon, but yes."

He looked at you for a second and then added.

"So he is a werewolf."

"He is a muggle, Sebastian"

"Muggles can be werewolves and you know it"

"A regular muggle, Merlin's beard!"

Sebastian laughed and so did you. When you were able to speak again you finally asked him.

"Did you like it?"

"I did. All the mystery, like an aurors novel. It was exciting and it got me thinking there had to be magic involved. But it was good even without magic"

"I'm glad you liked it."

"Do you have any other recommendations?" he asked while lying down on the grass and resting his head on your lap.

"I believe Ominis is done with Pride and Prejudice, that one is my favorite."

"I'll ask him for it. If I read it I'll understand why he is suddenly insisting on you calling him Mr. Gaunt and why he is calling you My Pearl?"

"Oh, that one is just for Sundays, but yes, you will understand. You can do the same if you want, once you get it" Both of you stay quiet for a moment, enjoying the grass under you and feeling the breeze on your faces, while thinking that lending that book to your boyfriends was the best idea you had in some time.

"MC..." Sebastian spoke a little embarrassed

"Yes?"

"D-do you think I'm like Hyde?" he was lying on your lap still, but looking at you with his eyes wide open.

"Of course not. You want me to tell you how handsome you are again?" you were joking, of course, you knew where the conversation was heading, but you didn't know if you could give him the comfort he needed.
