"Hello?" I answered sounding more like a question.

"Adeline, I hope I'm not interrupting." The voice on the other end of the phone  replied as I sighed a sigh of relief.

It was him.

It was going to be him.

He was going to ask me out.

"No, of course not! I'm just...doing some cleaning." I stated, looking down at the mess in the bathroom I had made due to Maya's unruly entrance.

"Yeah, yourself." Maya muttered underneath her breath as I did my best to ignore her while stepping out of the bath and gripping the towl tighter against my body.

"Well, then I won't keep you for long. I was just wondering if you had any plans for tommorow night? "

"No, none whatsoever. " I stated as calm and collected as I could as to not come off too desperately eager.

"Wonderful. How would you feel if we met up over some dinner ? My treat of course. I know about this quaint little restaurant that has gotten raving reviews. Say about...7pm?"

I smiled as I listened to him provide me with all of the details, everything perfectly planned already and all I had to do was say yes and be ready.

"It sounds lovely, thank you."

"Perfect! Then it's a date." I smiled brighter than I thought I would, my heart beating louder than I thought humanely possible.

I was genuinely, excited.

"I won't keep you any longer then." He added as I couldn't allow the mystery to continue for a second longer. It's been over a month, and I just HAD to know.

"Before you go, can I atleast know your name now ?" I asked intrigued as I could practically hear his smirk through the phone as he said,

"It's Dominic, Dominic Allen, at your service. " Before he ended the call leaving me in a flurry of butterflies making me almost fall back into the bathtub again.

"And...tell me everything!" Maya demanded as my eyes met her, remembering she just witnessed it all.

"His name is Dominic, Dominic Allen." I said with the biggest, most brightest smile.

"He sounds dreamy, like someone straight out of a novel." Maya swooned as I couldn't help but do the same. "Wait , which one is he again ? Is that the hot uncle or the hot hotel owner ?" She inquired as it was the first time that I realised until now, I wasn't acquainted with either one of their names. Until now. Now I had one name that made me heart forget all of it's troubles.

"He's the hotel owner."

And as soon as I said it, I could tell she was bursting at the seems feeling a sense of accomplishment as if her intuition had been right.

"Alright, you had your fun. Now allow me the chance to dress myself and then we can talk downstairs when I'm done." I replied with a smile as she eagerly left the bathroom appearing more excited about the arrangement than I was when in all honesty, I thought no one could be as excited as I am right now.

It felt like the day dragged on as I impatiently waited for an acceptable time to start getting ready for my date with Dominic.

Date.

There's something I thought I wouldn't mention quite so soon again.

But it was nice, feeling excited again at the possibility of love.

I know I'm running ahead of myself throwing labels around like love but I wasn't doing it lightly. Hence why I said the possibility. I promised myself that I wasn't going to rush into another relationship like I did last time and fall head over heels in love with just anyone.

Going on dates is one thing, but being in a relationship, dating that one person is something entirely different.

And who knows if Dominic and I are even compatible in that way ?

I guess only time will tell...

I straightened down my dress for what felt like the millionth time as Maya continued to fuss with my hair making me more nervous and slightly irritated.

"Alright, okay, I think it's fine." I commented swatting her hand away from my hair. "Any more pulling and my curls won't hold." I added as I moved from the one side of the room to the next keeping my eyes focused on the big clock on the wall.

"I'll just...spray perfume one last time." I stated as I frantically applied perfume to my wrists and neck.

"You look gorgeous Adi. And you smell nice. Just...relax." Maya tried to comfort. The thought was nice but in actual fact the waiting just made me more nervous.  It reminded me too much of waiting for Jaden to pick me up and everything he didn't do.

I tried my best not to think about him tonight, but it was the little things like this that always seemed to trigger me.

"Okay, it's 6:30, I'm going to leave now. It'll take me 10 minutes to get there. Wish me luck." I said nervous as Maya engulfed me into the biggest hug.

"Knock his socks off." She commented making me frown with a smile at her strange choice of words.

"Sure, okay. See you later." I replied before getting in my car and heading over to his hotel.
