"So you're an Eagles fan?" I noted while writing down Benjamin's vitals.

"Well, I sure hope so. " Ben's uncle remarked. "I'm the coach at the highschool."

"No kidding, "

"What? Is it that hard to believe?" He asked with a smile.

"No it's not that. Gosh, I'm sorry. I just meant, I never knew the highschool had found a new coach. My best friend's nephew goes there. " I answered putting my pen back in my pocket.

"Really? What's his name ? Maybe I know him."

"uh...Kenneth, Kenneth Bleu ?" I asked thinking hard to get Maya's nephew's name out of my mental archives.

"Yeah I know Bleu, he's our quarterback, really good player too."

"I will pass that along to my friend." I answered before making my way back to my station.

What a small world...

Naturally, I had to call Maya on my break and tell her everything, to which she had insisted on meeting me for breakfast the next morning to discuss it in person.

"So wait let me get this straight, " she started getting serious while putting her drink down. "The cute uncle at the hospital that Katie keeps going on about is Ken's new coach?"

"Sounds like it." I answered nonchalant.

"Then you need to come with me to Ken's next game."

"And do what? " I asked intrigued to hear her answer.

"I don't know, bump into him casually while looking STUNNING and act surprised."

"It sounds like you're trying to set me up." I noted.

"And what if I am ? He's cute, you're cute. What's the worst that could happen?"

I cocked my head as I waited for her to put the pieces together herself but after 2 minutes of an unintentional staring competition I knew she wasn't getting it.

"I appreciate the gesture, but I don't want to fall into a rebound relationship." I admitted.

"It's not a rebound."

"For you maybe, but it will be for me. I have too much healing and self recovery to do before I can allow another man into my heart. It just wouldn't be fair towards me or another person. But thank you for the offer."

What I said was true, but it also didn't mean that it wasn't difficult. I will admit, he was...attractive. But I also knew that he deserved better than to be a rebound. But who knows what the future held in store...
