"We've all been looking for them, we need money, you know?" I said trying not to act suspicious. " yeah it's hard out here huh?" The man said . "That's an understatement." I said smiling then I closed the car door.
"What's your name?" We both said at the same time. I smirked and walked closer to the car. "Janson, where are your parents?" The now called Janson guy said. "Dead, I'm Elodie." I said as the thoughts started coming back, the realization. Both of my parents are dead. I'm alone.
"I'm sorry to hear that Elodie." Janson said concerned. "Don't be, anyway I gotta go." I said trying to stop talking about my parents.
"Let me know if you see anything." Janson said. "I will." I said lying. Of course I won't, I'm not stupid.
I turned around and walked inside. I locked the door behind me and Jorge came running down with everyone following him. "Who was that?! What were you talking about?" Jorge said super fast.
"Woah calm down. He said his name is Janson I think. Definitely a WCKD worker, he was asking about you guys." I said and pointed to the group of gladers.
"Janson is kinda the Leader at WCKD." Thomas said. "Real douche bag if you ask me." Minho said. I smiled at him, I liked Minho's sense of humor. He was witty and quick with his jokes/ comebacks.
"What did you say to him?" Brenda asked "I pretended I didn't know where they were. I said if I found them I'd turn them in for money." I said thinking I was smart until I heard this agitating voice.
"See! She's not on our side" Teresa said. "Shut the fuck up. I'm making him think I'm on his side so I don't give your asses away." I said. This stupid fucking bitch is making me so mad.
Minho and Thomas started laughing along with Brenda. I started walking up the stairs with Minho and Thomas "so who's the bitch that your with?" I said. "Teresa" Minho said. Ew. Teresa. Such a bitch. " I don't even want to use her name." I said clearly annoyed with her. Thomas smiled.
"She's not as bad as you think." Thomas said. I looked at Minho and he shook his head which made me laugh. "Give her a chance." Thomas said trying to convince you. "Mmmmm no." I said getting annoyed with him.
I got up to the top floor and threw my bags on the couch. I washed the blood off me from that morning and grabbed an apple.
"If WCKD is here in this city we need a plan." Brenda said. "She's right you guys could easily get caught." Jorge said. "Well what are you thinking Jorge" I said confused " I'm not sure." Jorge said, that made me sigh.
"Great" Teresa said as she rolled her eyes and sat on the couch.
"You know maybe I'll just turn you into Janson." I said. She gave me a look and all I did was smile and wink at her.
