Kaelynn's birthday

I woke up feeling someone worm their way underneath me making my eyes flutter open to see Ej who slept peacefully with his thumb in his mouth making me lay my head back down and close my eyes.

I've been sleeping in the guestroom ever since the whole thing went down with Kaelynn and Jr has been picking and choosing where he wants to sleep every other night.

After a few minutes of just laying there, I grabbed my phone from under the pillow checking the time seeing it was 6:30 am. I sighed looking down at Jr before gently taking his thumb out of his mouth watching as he moved before putting it back. It was time to get him ready for school since it started at 7:45 am.

"Jr cm'on lil man you needa' wake up" I took it back out watching as he opened his eyes squinting before he started whining making me give him a look.

"What i say 'bout 'det shit" I looked at him making him stop before he sat up looking around the room before looking back at me.

"Yo' momma in the other room, it's her birthday today you wan' go wake her?" I asked him as I watched as his face lit up before he nodded making me chuckle.

"Go 'head" I spoke making him get out of bed before he quickly ran out the room as I still laid in bed for a minute longer before I eventually decided to get up. I walked into the bathroom and did my hygiene before getting into the shower.

I was now dressed in a pair of sweats and a hoodie paired with my new white Air Forces Kae had got me for my birthday. Once we got home yesterday, I saw all the gifts she had got me sitting on my bed waiting for me.

I walked into the closet and grabbed all Kaelynn's gifts I had got her before the whole situation before walking out of the guestroom and into our room seeing her sitting on the bed with Jr while she spoke on the phone.

"What are you doing today?" I heard Leilani's voice as Kae looked up at me as I walked further into the room. I watched as a small smile made it's way on her face as she rubbed her 9 month belly.

We still weren't on the best of terms and we haven't really spoken or brought the situation up again and what was fucking with a nigga was the fact that she tried to act like everything was okay when it wasn't. Anyone who walked this room right now would be able to feel the tension.

That's one thing we struggle with in our relationship and it's the fact that whenever we argue or have a disagreement, Kae is so quick to try and push it back or pretend that everything was fine when it really wasn't whereas I would prefer to acknowledge the situation, talk it out and see where we went wrong and try to fix it.

"My sister's taking me out for breakfast then the rest of the day I'm just gone be home. I really don't wanna do anything cause babygirl has me breathing like I'm having an asthma attack the first 2 steps I take" she chuckled as I placed the gifts on her bed waiting for her to finish her phone call.

"Jr, you ain't going to school?" I asked sitting on the edge of the bed as he laid on his momma with his thumb in his mouth. He looked at me before shaking his head as he removed his thumb.

"I'm tired Dada" he spoke making me nod my head as he came over towards me to sit in my lap. I scrolled on my phone until I heard Lani and Kae say their final goodbyes making me look up from my phone.
