THE BROWN WEDDING September 2024 8 months later...

IT'S REALLY HAPPENING is all that kept replaying in Leilani's head as she stared at herself in the mirror before her. Today was their big day and to say that both Leilani and Isaiah were overwhelmed was an understatement.
The day that they once couldn't wait any longer for has now arrived in a blink of an eye. After all the stress, disagreements and indecisiveness, the day has finally arrived. They were excited nevertheless.
It finally clicked to Leilani that today she was committing her life to her soon-to-be husband. Although they already considered themselves as one, tying the knot today was making the moment even more surreal.
Her hair and makeup was done and everyone left the room to give her a moment to herself while she slipped into her wedding dress. She wiped the tears that fell from her eyes as she observed herself in the mirror.
A knock on the door snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked towards the door before glancing back at the mirror then turning towards the door.
"Munchkin, baby, are you ready? Can I come in?" She heard her father's voice say on the other side of the door. She said a quick "come in" watching as the door slowly opened revealing her father dressed in his black velvet peak tuxedo.
A smile graced her face as her father stopped in his tracks and stared at her as tears immediately found their way to his eyes. She glanced behind him seeing the videographer/photographer capturing the moment before looking back at her dad.
"Princess..." his voice trembled as he walked closer towards her while admiring his little girl. Alonzo knew he wouldn't be fully prepared for this day. Hell, he never wanted his daughter to grow up. His baby girl was his weakness and he couldn't wrap his head around the fact that his baby girl was getting married today. His princess.
"Oh my gosh dad, you're gonna make me cry" she fanned her eyes as his bottom lip trembled. Without another word, he opened his arms for her which she rushed into.
He wrapped his arms tightly around her as she sniffed against his chest and he tried to hold himself together.
"I want you to know how proud of you I am, I don't think I can say it enough. Munchkin, no matter how old you are, remember you can always come to me 'bout anything and I'll always be there to listen. I love you so much. You'll always be my baby girl. I got you forever Ight?" The more he spoke, the more his voice cracked as they cried in each others arms.
