"You excited to find out the gender now that we have it?" Ari asked me as we walked out of the hospital and towards my car.

"Hell yea'. I can't wait for my baby to be hea' " I spoke as I hit the locks on the car before opening her side of the door and helping her get in then closing the door after making sure she was straight.

I got in on my side then started the car before looking over at her.

"You hungry?" I asked her as she turned to look at me before nodding her head.

"Yea' but Lei said she was gone cook for me so can you rather just get me an ice cream blizzard please?" She asked as I started backing out of the parking spot.

"What she gone cook for you?" I glanced at her as we drove out of the parking lot.

"I was craving some Mac&Cheese and Chicken, you know your momma be throwing down in the kitchen" she said making me chuckle and nod.

"Obviously cause she learned from my g-maw" I spoke and she nodded her head and hummed.

"You want the ice cream from Dairy queen?" I asked glancing at her as she nodded her head.

"Please, baby" she said and I nodded my head before making a turn. The drive through was not as full so I decided to go through there instead of going inside.

"Hello, how may I take your order?" The lady spoke through the speaker as we came to a stop.

"Wassup, lemme get a ice blizzard please" I spoke.

"Sure, which one would you like and in which size?" She asked while I turned to look at Ari as she looked at nothing in particular. 

"The cake batter cookie dough, size small" I repeated after she told me which one she wanted.

"Alright that would be $4.99, please pull up to the next window" she spoke and I rolled my window up before pulling up to the next window where another car was parked in front of me.

"Iono' how you eat 'dis shit" I leaned back in my seat befo' looking at her as my head rested against the headrest.

"Mccht, it's so good plus string bean be having me craving stuff I don't even be eating like that fr" she said making me scrunch my face up.

"Who tf– i kno' you ain't jus' call my baby a string bean" I laughed as she looked at me and started smiling befo' she started laughing along with me as I drove up to the next window.

I paid before getting her ice cream and driving off befo' passing her the ice cream.

"That shit don't look good at all" I pulled my face as I glanced between her and the road while she smacked her lips.

"This is so good, you don't know what you're talking about" she waved me off as I shook my head at her while I drove us to our house.

"Mommy, our birthday's are coming up soon" Zari walked into my room saying while I sat on my bed doing our laundry as Grey's Anatomy played on the TV.

"Yes indeed it is Angel. You're getting so big now" I smiled as she walked towards me and climbed into my lap as I sat on my one leg under me and my other hanging off the bed.
