~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I looked to my right seeing Saraya sleeping peacefully. I reached over and softly rubbed her cheek as I admired her. I felt a tear roll down my face making me wipe it as I continued to stare at her.
"Dada gone do the best I can to raise you and yo' brother baby girl, I promise." I whispered as I sniffed placing a kiss on her cheek. I got up and placed the pillows on the side of her before walking into the bathroom leaving the door open so that I could still keep an eye on her.
These 3 months have definitely been hard cause as much as I'm hurt, I still gotta be strong for my kids. This is not something that I can just brush off and be okay with, twelve years is a lot especially if you planned your whole future with this someone.
The day after the therapy session when everything went down, she dropped Ej off to me and asked to talk to me and that's when she admitted that she stepped out on me with the dude I saw she was texting.
Flashback
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Daddy!" Ej yelled when I opened the door making me crouch down to his level as he ran into my arms.
"Son!" I matched his energy as I picked him up before glancing over at Kaelynn who looked at us with a sad smile.
"Wassup, baby girl good?" I asked as she snapped out of her thoughts and greeted me back. We got the DNA results a few weeks back and she was definitely my baby and to say I was beyond grateful was an understatement. Even though it should've never gotten to that point, ever.
"Hey, yea she's okay" she answered. It was an awkward silence before I nodded my head and was about to close the door before she stopped me.
"Jah wait, can we talk please?" She asked sighing making me look at her before shaking my head.
"Ain't nun to talk 'bout Kaelynn, if it ain't about baby girl ion wan' hear nun" I shook my head as I spoke making her look at me with a pleading look.
"Please, just let me explain" she spoke making me sigh deeply and open the door wider for her to come inside. I closed the door behind her before leading us further into the house.
"Son, go watch Tv up stairs in my room ight?" I kissed his head as he nodded before placing him down watching as he ran up the stairs.
I sat down while Kaelynn sat down on the other couch while I stared at the ground waiting for her to speak.
"Firstly I would like to apologise for what happened that day, I know you're really mad about what you saw but I don't want you to get the wrong idea" she started saying while I just listened playing with the strings on my joggers.
"During the past few months that we've been going through this, we never spoke– And who's fault that is Kaelynn cause it damn sure ain't mine" I cut her off sitting up to look at her as she looked down at her fingers while her eyes brimmed with tears.
"What you crying fa' I just asked a question. Whose fault was it?" I continued to look at her as she wiped her face before glancing up at me.
"Mine" she whispered making me hum and nod my head.
"Look, I never meant for things to go this far. The day of my birthday when we argued, as you know I went out with my sisters and this dude walked up to me and asked for my number"
"I told him I was married and he could clearly see I was pregnant so I turned him down. A few days after that, a notification comes through to my phone and he found my instagram and texted me"
