THE DAY WAS BRIGHT AND THE LOUD HOUSE WAS FULL OF KIDS. Sounded normal, however, the children gathered outside the house weren't their kids. A bunch of sixth graders were the vast majority, then a group of eighth graders actively helped in making decorations for the Kangaroo Hop.

Lincoln was busy lamenting himself with a blurred mind of jealousy to really pay attention to what was going on, meanwhile Clyde was being his shoulder to cry on, getting distracted by the girl standing meters away from them.

There she was, in all her glory, Jules Chung.

"I'm so nervous, Clyde," Lincoln gulped. "I don't know how this will go."

"At least you can ask Charlie to the dance," the boy in stripped shirt sighed. "I hate Blaise Ansari."

Clyde had been holding back from asking Jules to the dance ever since Blaise basically threatened every boy at school not to do so. His big proposal was held the day prior, and he specified it would be private and no one but him and Jules could be there when he asked. Clyde cried about it for days, and was still beating himself for it.

His parents had to find another date for him because he would not leave his room. It was so bad they were starting to get concerned about Clyde's mental health, so they also took him to therapy just in case.

"You'll find someone better in the future, my friend," Lincoln tried to cheer him up, patting his shoulder while both middleschoolers looked at the girl peacefully helping.

Clyde nodded. "You're right, I do not care about Jules Chung. I'm over it. I'm a man! I don't cry over girls."

"Exactly! Girls are stupid!" Lincoln supported him before correcting himself. "But not Charlie."

Ms. Tyte told the eighth grade that she would be giving extra credit to those who collaborated with the dance, and Lynn immediately proposed her house as the place of gathering. Jules and her group decided to join last minute, they weren't really sure if Lynn was notified about it, however they were now busy decorating statues and fixing the queen and king thrones.
