chapter twenty ꩜ ask me out!now playing: girlfriend by hemlocke springs
↻ ◁ II ▷ ↺ONCE AGAIN, LYNN WAS FOUND IN LUNA'S ROOM. This time, she needed help regarding her 'love' situation (obviously), but first there needs to be a bit of context of how things went down after the Holla Fest.
Lynn regretted many decisions made during her life, like not paying attention in class or making a wrong move during an important game. It would always leave her with an upsetting feeling, the knowledge that she made a mistake that was now jeopardizing her would usually come with extreme guilt and a bitter taste that wouldn't leave her mouth for, at least, two hours.
She didn't regret kissing Jules, though.
Three weeks had passed since the event. Three decisive weeks in which Lynn made up her mind about the entire romance thing going on, and was finally ready to speak up her mind about it to Jules, however she was still trying to perfect the way she was going to do so.
Basically, after the party there were two or three awkward days in which they didn't know what to do. Although there were no hard feelings about it, they still weren't sure on how to proceed afterwards. They didn't know how to process it (mostly Lynn, who was very much new to all this stuff), so they landed on the most common territory anyone would after figuring out they shared feelings: avoiding each other.
They still talked, just not as much as they used to. They'd get too nervous to even face each other in the halls, it was almost as if returning each other's feelings was worse than not doing so.
By the fourth day, Jules showed up at Lynn's soccer practice, tired of the way things were moving.
"Your GF is here," Margo elbowed Lynn when they were given a break, and the brunette turned around nervously, spotting Royal Woods' princess waving at her. "She wants to talk to ya'."
