"How about we get some pizza, May?" the green-haired coordinator questioned her.
The brunette was never one to turn down food. "I'd love to Drew, are there any pizzerias around here?" May asked her rival.
"Yeah, I saw one yesterday," Drew confidently crossed his arms. His plan to enamor May was underway.
"What are we waiting for then? Let's go!" the Petalburg girl cheered. Drew nodded and unexpectedly pulled her by the hand to get moving. May got caught off guard and blushed, but she let Drew lead the way. She hadn't forgotten the chat she needed with him over his attitude toward Ash, but she was still finding time to enjoy herself.
Drew wasn't focused on anything except savoring every minute he had May to himself. He was determined to give her a good time. The pizza place wasn't too far, and they made it just in time for lunch. "Here it is," the lime-haired boy let go of May and flicked his hair.
They walked to the entrance, and Drew held the door for her, "Ladies first," he bowed.
"Thank you, Drew," May smiled innocently. She appreciated his politeness and charm. Drew certainly knew which buttons to press to make her feel special.
Her focus shifted when the brunette took a whiff of the air and dashed to the counter while Drew followed her. He chuckled lightly over her love for food. "These pizzas look so good. I can't wait to try them," May's mouth watered over the cheesy, fresh-out-of-the-oven pizzas displayed on the menu.
Drew looked around and saw the place was rather crowded. "This place is packed," the LaRousse coordinator looked for a possible place to sit. Thankfully, there was no line to order.
"Welcome! How may I please you on this fine day," a jolly man in a white chef's hat approached them at the counter.
"Do you have a table available?" the emerald-haired boy made sure they had a place to sit before ordering anything.
"Of course! You'll find more seats out on the terrace," the man pointed to the outdoor seating designed like a garden. Drew was relieved the weather was good enough for outdoor dining and nodded at the man. "So, what would you like to order?" the jovial man laughed.
"It's your call, May. I'll have whatever you want," Drew smiled at her.
May's face brightened when she heard that. "Thanks, Drew!" She giggled. However, May placed her index finger on her chin and frowned indecisively, "This is hard. There's so much to choose from,"
On the menu, it showed various pizzas with all sorts of toppings. Drew stared at May while she analyzed the menu. He saw she was having difficulty choosing and looked at the menu, too. Some of the pizzas they offered were unfamiliar to him. Alolan-style pizza? Never heard of that before, the male coordinator thought. Even Drew couldn't decide.
"Might I suggest our signature and fan-favorite Altomare-style pizza?" the man attending them recommended.
May's sapphire eyes lasered on the Altomare-style pizza. "That does sound amazing. We'll have that!" she pointed eagerly.
Finally, Drew grinned with relief. The man instructed them to sit outside, and they would bring the pizza out to them. The coordinators nodded happily.
As they walked outside, May noticed the decor was very distinct and unique for a pizzeria. Even the terrace had a variety of colorful flowers to catch the guests' eyes. "This place sure is fancy for a pizzeria," the sapphire-eyed girl pointed out as they sat.
"Yeah, but I like it. It's pretty romantic," Drew sat in front of her. He plucked a rose from the bush and handed it to her with a wink.
May blushed again when she received the rose. "Drew, if you keep acting like this, you're going to have me red all day," the brunette placed her free hand on her cheek and grinned sheepishly. Why can't you always be this sweet? May thought. If Drew hadn't constantly argued with Ash, he might've already charmed his way into her heart.
