Someone was tapping May and Ash as they slept, but they failed to get them to wake up. They were peacefully slumbering with smiles across their faces.

"If only Pikachu were here," Misty hovered over them with a sigh.

"No worries, I think I know how to wake them up," Delia stated with a smirk. "Mr. Mime, can you come here for a second," the mom called.

The Psychic-type quickly came to her aid. He was ready for whatever request Delia had. "Mime!" Mr. Mime saluted Misty and Delia.

"Mr. Mime, use Psychic on Ash and May," the mother commanded the Kanto Pokémon.

Mr. Mime nodded. The Pokémon began glowing blue, and so did the teens. He slowly made them slip from the bed. They levitated in the air, but they remained asleep. May posed as though her pillow was still there while Ash had his whole body spread out in the air, assuming the mattress was still there. "Mime," the Barrier Pokémon raised its arms and spun their bodies.

The duo spun involuntarily in the air like a pair of Ferris wheels. The dizzying motion was enough to wake them. "What's going on?!" the brunette yelped when she opened her eyes.

"Wah! Why am I in the air?!" the raven-haired teen exclaimed as he panicked to get his feet on the ground.

Misty and Delia giggled until Ash and May noticed them. "What's the big idea?!" Ash and May shouted at the same time as they wrestled against Mr. Mime's Psychic.

"You can drop them, Mr. Mime." Delia gave Mr. Mime the order.

Mr. Mime halted the Psychic attack. The Pokémon stopped glowing blue as May and Ash dropped to the bed. The coordinator and trainer bounced several times on the bed when they were released.

Ash frowned. "You didn't have to do all that, you know?" the raven-haired teen complained to them.

Misty frowned at him, "Excuse me, but you sleepyheads wouldn't budge."

"Sorry, kids," Ash's joyful mother apologized to the kids with an embarrassed giggle.

"Oh," the two pair realized they must have been in a deep sleep.

Suddenly, Delia's face turned from a cheery one to a serious one. "Now, mind explaining why you two were sleeping together?" the mom crossed her arms.

Ash froze with fear. He didn't realize until then that they got caught red-handed. True to May's word, she spoke up before Ash even made a defense for himself. "It's my fault, Delia. Ash tried to tell me that it would upset you, but I insisted. Please don't blame him for my disrespect," the sapphire-eyed coordinator gave an honest apology. Truthfully, she didn't expect to get caught, but she had to step up now.

Delia sighed. "Please just tell me you weren't up to anything mischievous," the mother hoped that was the case.

"No, of course not! I would never disrespect your hospitality like that. I'm sorry," the brunette timidly put her arms behind her as she appeased Ash's mom.

After Delia heard that, she formed a smile again. "Well, I guess that's that then. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go make breakfast," The mother forgot about the incident, making Ash and May sigh with relief. Misty giggled over their reactions.

When the teens were left alone, Misty turned to the pair. "I bet we're going to train after this?" the gym leader asked curiously.

"Yep," May happily replied as she got off the bed.

"Hold on. Why don't we all go to the carnival?" the auburn-eyed teen enthusiastically suggested.

May and Misty weren't expecting him to bring it up, especially May, who thought Ash had given up on the notion after he said he'd think about it the other night. "Say less!" May cheered, and the excited brunette dashed upstairs.
