those words just kept repeating and repeating in my head the whole day and i don't know what to do. i can't like him. he's my friend i can't like him.

"what are you day dreaming about?" bangchan said as he sat down next to me and i froze

"nothing" i said blankly

"here" he said pushing a drink towards me

"you don't have to keep buying me these" i said grabbing the drink

"i always stop by the coffee shop so it's no problem, are you ok? you seem a bit pale" he asked as his put his hand on my shoulder and i stood up

" i need to use the restroom" i sped walk out the classroom and headed outside

i needed some fresh air, i couldn't be next to him after what jennie just told me

"i can't like him chaelin you don't like him" i said to myself and i put my hands in my hair and tugged on it a bit

after a few minutes of me being outside i decided to head back inside after calming down, as i walked in the room i saw that bangchan was no longer in his seat, i was confused since the class was still going on and the pass for the restroom was still there

"uhm excuse me, where did bangchan go?" i asked the teacher and he looked at me

"they called him to the office, someone's here for him" he went back to looking at his computer and i was confused on who was there for him, but it was none of my business so i sat down in my seat

bangchan was gone the whole school day, im guessing he went home, but i wonder why

"hey felix, why did bangchan leave?" i asked him

"don't worry about it, anyways let's go to your house?" he asked me out of no where

"uhm sure, why do you all of a sudden want to go to my house?" i asked as we started walking out the school

"because i have nothing to do in my house so might as well go over" he explained and i nodded

as we got to my house there was a car parked in my driveway which confused me "who's that?" i asked

i unlocked my door and walked in and saw haemin running up to me with the biggest smile "hey buddy, who's here"

before he can answer, a figure came out of the kitchen and i couldn't believe my eyes

"dad?" my voice cracked

"hey sweetheart" he smiled and i couldn't help but run up to him and give him a big hug

"what are you doing here" i said not breaking the hug

"well, one of your friends told me about not having the funds to come visit me and i didn't have it either to come, and he flew
me out to see you guys" he smiled as we broke the hug

"what? who?" i asked and he looked behind me and smiled

i turned around and saw bangchan standing by the door and smiling "surprise" he said with the biggest smile

i ran up to him and wrapped my arms around him "thank you" i whispered to him

"i told you i would find a way" he said hugging me tighter

as we pulled apart we made eye contact for a while until he cleared his throat and looked away "that's the reason why i got out of school early because i had to pick him up from the airport"

"that's why you weren't there when i came back to class" i said as i went back to my dad "how was your flight?"

"long, very long and im jet lagged" he chuckled

"you should go to sleep, we have an extra room that's on this floor, it's under the stairs" i said and he nodded

"ill see you later ok?" he said as he hugged both me and haemin and went in the room

"is this why you wanted to come with me felix?" i asked

"duh, i wanted to see your reaction" he smiled "but i have to go home so ill see you guys at school tomorrow" he said as he waved and walked away

now it was just me and bangchan alone, since haemin went to his house to be with hannah

"thank you" i said to him

"no problem, you looked upset when you were telling me and it made me upset so i just wanted to see you happy" he smiled at me

"well haemin seems to be happier than i've ever seen him so thank you" we stays quiet for a bit until he broke the silence

"are you hungry? want to go eat?" he asked and i nodded

"im starving"
