It was so quiet. Everyone was focused. The only thing heard is the sound of the wind.
Soon, I released the trigger, and an arrow was shot through the air hitting the doll.
It was right at the target, so I spun around before running towards Eduart and Ealfrida.
"I DID IT GUYS!" I cheered with my both my arms in the air. Ealfrida clapped her hands while Eduart ruffled my hair. "You did such a great job, y/n," I hummed proudly before putting down my bow.
"I should join the competition," I told them, but Ealfrida looked at Eduart and back at me "didn't your parents hate it when you do archery?" I sighed, yeah I kind of forget it.
I plopped down next to Ealfrida "Did you think grandma would support me this time?" Eduart shake his head "you know how she thought this kind of thing would injure you? I bet she won't allow it either, " I pouted, feeling upset at that.
"But she allows you to do it as a hobby, so let's just appreciate it"
I understand why they all hate it when I do this. Many of my peers would do things like attending tea parties and all those official things, and here I am, sitting in my non woman like clothing and doing the thing that only guys should do it.
I felt suffocated wearing dresses, and I don't like those awkward chatting with those nobles, so I don't really attend it.
I was able to get away with it, thanks to my sister, Serena.
I looked down at the ring on my hand. I twirled it around as I was deep in thought. This isn't an engagement ring. It's just something that I bought with my own money.
Unlike my sister, who always gets proposed by people of all age ranges, I don't. Don't get me wrong, I am glad so.
I never imagined myself tied to someone in the name of marriage.
Honestly speaking, even imagining myself with a guy is cringes to me. I shuddered at the thought before looking back at Eduart and Elfrida "you know, I remember that my dad told me that today we have a guest today"
"Who?" Elfrida looking interested asking.
"I don't know. I bet Serena knows about it since she seems to be in a bad mood today" Eduart looked at me with pitiful looks "your sister must be harsher on you today huh?" I chuckled, grinning "it's not the first you know?" I stand up, picking up my stuff
"I will visit you guys bakery after the guest leaves, okay?" Elfrida hummed, so I walked back home.
I think today's exercise is pretty good. It'd make me sweat, and I love it. I humming a song inside my head, walking with light steps to my home.
As soon as my home came into my eyesight, I was surprised to see there's a car parked in front of the house.
Wait....I don't think it's father, so whose car is this?
.....oh shit! Don't tell me it's the guest. Father and mother would get pissed off if I showed up in this kind of clothes in front of their guests, so I should climb the window.
I tiptoed to my bedroom's window. It's a high up in the skies since my house is a mansion, but I am used to it. Just then, I was reminded that my mother found out about it and locked the window from the inside.
This is so stupid!
I brushed off any dirt that might be on my clothes before untied my hair, letting it flow down.
I take a deep breath, walking into the house, putting my guard up.
Then, I felt someone behind me, so unconsciously, I turned around before pointing my small dagger in my pocket at that person.
