I lay down on the grass, taking an intense breath after running away from Eiser.

I don't know why I am always emotional when around Eiser. I know it is not his fault but still. I just get angry at him. I might even get annoyed with him.

I let my fingertips touch the grass, feeling the soft feeling on my fingertips. The calming breeze also hits my face, making me feel sleepy out of sudden. I closed my eyes, relaxed, and let myself feel the drowsiness.

I was so absorbed in nature that it was a surprise to me when I heard someone call for me. Then, I saw someone I didn't expect to find here at all. I sat up out of habit, looking confused at him.

"Why are you here?" I looked around me, "I don't there's anything here" I said, brushing my clothes, feeling awkward at the moment.

"I need to tell you something"

"What is it?"

"..........to me, I d-" I sighed, closing my eyes "Eiser, I don't understand you at all. You are just wasting time being here. You don't have to explain yourself anymore to me, okay?" I almost stood up when he grabbed my shoulder, pressing me down "Can you just listen to me for a second?"

I stay quiet, giving him the chance to talk.

"I don't think you understand this. I had enough of this thing called love. I don't want to be in that kind of relationship, but I appreciate your feelings. I'm just....not sure what to do actually" he sat beside me, suddenly grabbing my hand.

"But trust me, one thing I know for sure" There was a silence as I saw him taking a deep breath.

"I don't like it when you cry. I hate it when you avoid me and act cold toward me" he said looking into my eyes.

I looked at him, bewildered. Is this Eiser? What is happening?

"I don't want to ask you a lot but can you give me time to figure out what I want?"

I sighed, forcing a smile on my face before looking into his eyes "How long should I wait? What if I wait for you then you decide you are not into me? Why should I waste my time and feelings on things that were so uncertain like this?" I pulled my hand away, "I'm so sorry but I don't want to hurt myself"

I stand up, leaving him behind.

I know that I twist my words too much but I just don't know anymore.

"Bread is coming!" I shouted, holding onto a tray of fresh baked goods.

Today is a pretty free day so I decided to help my friend's bakery shop. Ealfrida at first, being the worried friend she is, had warned me to not help them with me looking like a zombie like this. But thanks to Eduart, she cave in and let me help them on this pretty free day. I don't mean to make them worried about me at all but I can't hide it from them. They always know something is up. I smile warmly, grateful that I have them on my side like this.

"I love you guys"

Ealfrida rolled her eyes, "I almost puked out a donut from earlier" I pouted, rolling my eyes too "You heartless woman" Eduart laughed at our antics, shaking his head "I'm just so happy seeing you two still acting like a kid even after all these years" he ruffles my hair, taking the tray that was on my hand before arranging the goods on the display case.

"Eduart! That was my job!"

"As an adult here, let me take over before someone starts a sugary war" he chuckled, totally unfazed.

"I hate you, Ealfrida"

"Oh I hate you even more" she replied, totally without any hesitation at all.

The day passed by just like that. It was a pretty peaceful day and the weather also looked good too. It wasn't too sunny but didn't rain. I was sweeping the dried leaf outside while humming a random tune when someone called out my name. I turned around and was surprised to see Frederick standing there. As soon as we met eyes, he lifted his hand, showing two cups of coffee. I couldn't help but stare at him in amusement.

I would never have imagined this picture in front of me right now back then. We are supposed to be each other enemy.

"What are you doing here?"

"I know you are surprised but can we talk in private?" I hummed, walking closer to him "We can go there. There is no one there" I pointed under the big tree. Frederick hummed and started to walk there. I followed him after and took a seat next to him.

"So what's the deal?" Frederick handed over a cup of coffee "Take a sip first" I looked at the cup cautiously "People know that I am here" he rolled his eyes "I won't poison you in this broad daylight" I chuckled "I know, I am just teasing you" I take a sip of the coffee before glancing over at him "are you going to talk now?" Frederick rolled down his cufflink "Did you know about Madam Iansa's second son?"

"......What?" I looked over at him as if he had just spoken something so crazy. "Frederick, everyone knows that Serenity only has one heir and that was my father. What are you talking about?" he sighed, turning to face me entirely "I know but I heard Madam Iansa talking about her second son" I sighed, not trusting him at all.

"Aren't you just mistaken? There's no way grandma has another son and can keep it a secret from us"

"But it is the truth. I saw and heard Serena asking about it towards the maids. She was trying to uncover this mystery too so that's why I want to help her by asking you about it" I don't know why but why did I feel so uncomfortable about this? Is it true? I....have an uncle?

I shake my thoughts away, standing up "I am so sorry, Frederick but I am also speechless about this. I haven't heard about this at all. I can't help you" I brushed my shirt, trying to walk away when Frederick grabbed my arm.

"Are you okay?" he asked suddenly.

"Why are you asking that?"

"You...don't look fine. Is everything okay?"

I sighed, nodding "I am fine but I might be tired. It's been a while since I helped them so I guess it got me" I try to smile to reassure Frederick.

"If there's anything, you should talk about it with anyone. I can lend you an ear if you need it" I scoffed "No need. I don't want to get into a fight with my sister about it" he released my arm so I walked back into the shop, continuing my work.

But somehow, I just can't forget about what Frederick told me.

~

"I am asking you! why are you trying to hide this from everyone?!" Serena shouted, and the elder woman sighed "I told you that it was all a lie, didn't I? There's no reason for you to dig even more" Serena held her stand "You thought I was dumb? It has a connection with Red Wolf organization right?"

Iansa glared at her oldest granddaughter, "You speak about that again and I will reprimand you" Serena didn't avoid her glare "Then, tell the truth. Why is the Red Wolf involved in this? Everyone knows how dangerous they are" Iansa, throwing the newspaper in her hand "Shut your mouth up. Don't you dare talk about this to me again" she warned.

"I had enough of your nonsense," Iansa said, walking out of the room.

But before she walked out of the room, she stopped.

"If somehow Y/n hears about this, I will make sure to take your name out of the will. Mark my words" she gives a final warning.

Serena gripped the paper in her hand before throwing it in anger. Serena gritted her teeth, knowing her grandma would never tell her about anything. But she found it weird how Y/n's was mentioned.

Did it somehow have a connection to her younger sister, Y/n?
