There is something that I don't get with these noble people.
I don't get why they want to hold a party every weekend.
I really don't want to go to this party. I'm not just too lazy to get out of bed; I'm also not mentally prepared to deal with the toxic atmosphere that's sure to be there. I'm not looking forward to the small talk, the forced laughter, and the inevitable arguments that will erupt among the guests. I'd much rather stay home and watch my birds or practice archery.
I yawned, stretching my body, trying my best to delay the time.
Unfortunately, someone walked into the room after knocking. It is one of the servants in the house. She looked at me who still not getting ready, smiling "Ma'am, you should get ready now. Raul informed me that Eiser already waiting for you downstairs" I sighed, looking at her pitifully.
"Can you just tell him that I am sick or something? I really don't want to go"
The servant looked at me unsure, "Should I?" I quickly shake my head, taking back my words "No, no I think if you actually said that to him, he will come here for sure so no need" I get up and rush into the bathroom.
I went straight to the bathroom and took a quick but thorough shower. I was in a hurry to get downstairs, so I put on the dress and high heels that had been prepared for me. I put them on quickly and sat down on a chair while a servant helped me with my makeup. I went downstairs and there he was, Eiser, waiting with his personal assistant at his side. Eiser stood up and walked to the car, followed by Raul.
I followed him right after knowing that I already delayed things enough.
I got inside the car and sat in the empty seat which is next to him. There is nothing has changed between us so I am kind of glad about that. I am not sure I can handle it if things go south for us.

Since Eiser was the one who sat near the exit door, he got out first and when it was my turn, I was surprised that he was waiting for me. I stood next to him, "thank you for waiting" he hummed, his eyes went down so I looked at what he was looking to see that he was looking at my shoes.
"W-what? Why?"
"Are you fine wearing that? Don't you want to change your shoes?" he asked making me even more confused than I already am.
"Why? Is it doe-"
"It's not that. You don't like wearing these shoes isn't it?"
"ah.........I already practice a lot so it's no big deal now" I winked at him, getting cheeky.
"But still, you should hold on to me. In case you accidentally trip or something" I frowned, scrunching my nose "Hey, you don't trust me? I can jump on this now. I can even climb a tree right now if you still don't trust my ability"
I twist my legs, lightly jumping when I feel myself losing balance and before I even fall flat on my face, his hand grabs my arm, securely.
"I trust you but hold on to me, can you? I don't want to lose you within these crowds"
I know he is changing his excuse, but I will play along for this. I linked my arm with him, and we got inside the hall together.
As soon as we walked through the crowds, I could hear people talking about normal business things. Honestly, I didn't understand them at all so I avoided as much conversation as I could. I looked around us and saw so many countless beautiful girls are probably here to look for potential spouses. It's not that weird. It was required in a wealthy family tradition. We just have to deal with it. I hope these girls find their perfect partner here even if they might get an arranged marriage together.
