"I don't understand why this ceremony has to be held," I sighed, already feeling suffocated.

"Y/n! Don't move so much! I already fixed this dress for the third time already" Elfrida scolded me, once again, fixing the dress.

"I don't get grandma at all. At first, she was the one who was against the idea of me helping her, and now? She forced me to go to this kind of social event,"

Elfrida flicked my nose, "it is because your husband is going. The event needs a partner. Are you going to let him go with another woman?" She asked, hands on her hips.

"Ahhh......" I frowned, looking down.

"Hey, can you next time take out that 'husband'? I can't still get used to it, and I feel myself cringing at that" Elfrida rolled her eyes, "Whatever. Now don't touch your makeup and hair"

I hummed, looking at myself in the mirror.

"Am I done?" She nodded, taking out something from inside her bag.

My eyes widened, seeing it was an earrings.

She made me wear it before checking the whole outfit "now it's perfect."

I was about to thank her when someone walked into the room. I turned around and saw it was Eiser. He looked at me before looking away "are you done?"

"She is now ready" Elfrida answered for me instead. She pulled me up and pushed me to Eiser "take care now, Y/n. Charm those people" she said, grinning with a known smile.

We headed outside together. I think this is the first time we actually saw together, I guess.

So this is where the event is?

Is Grandma going to be here?

"Are you going to just stand there?" I snapped back into reality at his words. I shook my head "no, sorry about that" we walked into the hall together.

As soon as we walked in, I saw a lot of people around. They were all engaging in a conversation that I am not interested in.

I was too busy looking around that I kind of forgot that I was standing with Eiser. I glanced next to him to see him, waiting for me. "You should go and engage with other people" I told him since I figured that's the best.

The sooner we talk to people, the faster we can get home.

Eiser hummed, "I will look for you later" I nodded my head before walking away. I sat at the corner of the hall, but after I grabbed a glass of wine.

From what I used to hear from Father, in this kind of event, the most important thing is connection. It's a good idea to learn subject that people into.

That red-haired boy is Roy, right? If I am not wrong, he has business in the petrol industry. I think dad will be happy to make him a friend.

"Still hiding from public?" I turned to my left and saw Frederick Bloom, my older sister lover.

He stands next to me with a glass of wine in his hand too "I guess it is a big improvement from before. You used to act like you have allergies to this kind of event" I rolled my eyes at his words.

"Don't you worry. I still get the ick, but it doesn't mean that I would pull out easily"

"So you are here with your husband?"

"Yeah, and you with my sister?"

"Yes, she took me here"

I hummed, taking a sip of the wine "then, you should go away. I don't have the energy to deal with her wrath"
