Ch2. Awkwardness And Odd

I sat up straight.

Did I fall asleep? I wiped my mouth in case something unpleasant comes out. Did he come home y-

I was frozen in place when I saw him sitting on the couch with a pile of papers in front of him.

Has he been there the whole time?

I was lost in my thoughts when someone intruded on my train of thoughts.

"Are you awake now?" I looked at him, climbing down the bed before approaching him. "Yeah, I am awake now. Why?" I asked, getting curious.

He looked at me with his stoic face before speaking up again "Raul informed me that you don't use any money that I give you"

Huh? Why did him even curious about that?

"Yeah I don't use it. I mean, everything was already prepared, so why would I?"

"Then, did you even leave the house at all?"

I shake my head at his question "I did invite my friends over, but that's it. Nothing to do around the house"

He stared at my face for a moment before looking back down at his papers.

"Do what you like then"

I come closer to him, getting excited at his words "then, can you get me something from Serenity's mansion?" He looked back at me "what is it?"

"I have a collection of jewelry back at my room, but I forget to bring them along with me"

"I will tell Raul to get it for you"

I sighed, "but it is something very, very dear to me. What if he accidently dropped it?"

"Then? What would you like me to do?"

"......forget it" I said before walking past him and leaving the room. Now he is making me feel bad for making him do stuff.

I mean, he looks like someone who is very careful, so that's why I want him to grab it for me, but at the same time, I feel bad for making him do so.

Should I tell Serena? Should I ask Serena to send that box to me?

I walked out of the house and went to the garden. This is a place that Eiser never came to visit. That is what the servants told me.

I lay down on the field of grass. This is calming. I am content with this. Unlike back home, no one here to nag me about laying down on grass in the night like this.

I am so happy!!

I like how Eiser is not a really talkative person. It feels so calm around him, so sometimes I let my guard down like earlier.

I was about to fall asleep there when I heard rustling. I sat up before looking around me. I stood up and walked over to the sound to see it coming from the big tree. I looked up and saw a bird nest with its mom there.

Oh gosh!!

I take off the jacket that I wear before putting it down on the ground before checking the trunk surface.

After making sure that I can climb it, I climb it. The tree has a big branch that helps to support my weight so it is easy for me.

I sat a few feet away from the nest since I didn't want to disturb them, but I watched them intently.

Honestly, I really like animals, mostly tigers, lions, and those kinds of animals.

But even these small animals already satisfied my animal lover instincts. I was grinning the whole time I was up the tree.

Eiser looked through the window and saw the woman he married a few months ago.

He actually hasn't heard anything about her, so that's why he doesn't know much about her. The only thing he knows about her is that she is the youngest granddaughter of Iansa Serenity and the beloved one on top of that.

He was watching her antics from the window when Eiser saw that she started to climb the tree.

It's starting to feel cold now, so I climb back down before getting back inside.

I went back into the shared room. I saw that he was still sitting on the couch from earlier. "Are you just going to stay there?" I asked, feeling unsure what to do.

"I am going to sleep here" he said, putting down his papers.

"Huh? But isn't it painful to stay there the whole night?"

"Then, are you telling me to sleep with you?"

"I mean, I won't do anything to you, so don't worry" I said, It's a promise. I can't fall asleep if I know someone was in pain for me. I don't like being the burden.

"Isn't that something that I should say instead?" He said, looking at me. Since he is always with that face, I don't know if he is joking or not.

"I mean, I am not afraid, but you are, so that's why I said so"

It's was silent for a moment before I heard a chuckle, but it was too short.

"You are the one who invited me" he said, standing up from the couch. Now it was me who got nervous out of sudden. It might be because he was taller and bigger than me, so his frame is intimidating.

It's better if I fall asleep first, right? I raced him and lay down on the bed first before closing my eyes, facing the other way.

I can feel the bed sunk a bit and a heat coming from my side. He is already lying down next to me, probably already asleep.

This is just a sleepover. It's way nothing. Just imagine him like Thunder, my dog. Thunder is a male, so they kind of fit each other.

I giggled to myself before I was drifting to the dreamland.

Eiser glanced next to him. She was sleeping soundly already even though she had already been asleep earlier.

Eiser figured that this girl might be someone who took things lightly. She might not even have any thoughts in her head about all of her actions.

Eiser has always had trouble sleeping, so he was awake the whole time.

After a while, he was getting bored, so he was about to sit up when a hand was placed on his chest. Before long, someone was hugging his side.

He looked at her, surprised.

"Hey, are you sleeping?" He asked, doesn't move his body in case she was actually sleeping.

When he got no answers, Eiser understood that she was already sleeping.

Eiser was staring at her face the whole time. Then, he heard Y/n mumbling about something. He decided to lean closer to hear it better.

"Thunder, you are so cute"

Huh? Thunder?

He is getting curious about this Thunder. He knows nothing about a thing call Thunder.

"I love you, Thunder"

A chuckles leaves his lips. He couldn't helped but found the girl's behavior so amusing.

I wonder why I don't hear much about you.

Eiser was curious about her. Even during the wedding ceremony, she doesn't say much. He had no idea about her. Her face look like someone who expressed everything in her expression but for some reason, it doesn't really felt so.

Eiser was lost in thoughts when the hand that Y/n grabbed earlier was held even tighter.

Eiser was hesitating but decided to just do it.

He squeeze back the hand. He held the hand securely.

Eiser could felt his emotions swirling inside him. It was like color slowly showing itself in him.
