Cough, cough.
Adam got in another fight; aka, he got beaten up. Now he was sitting on the ground, staring in front of him. He could barely turn his head, his neck being very sore.
"Are you okay?!"
No way. Not even a chance. Adam knew he was hearing things now. He slowly raised his puffer out of his pocket and up to his mouth. He pressed down the top, inhaling as he did so. His breathing calmed a bit after that. He no longer heard the voice. That sweet, raspy voice. It was his favourite sound in the whole world, but he would never admit that. He sat in silence for around 3 minutes. He felt better for sure. He cracked his neck, and turned it to the right side of him. That's when he saw it. His breathing quickened once again. It couldn't be. It wasn't. It could not possibly be true. It was.. Impossible. Wasn't it?
"Y/n?"
...
"Hi.. Adam.."
It really was who he thought. His best friend. The only one who understood his humour. Who understood who he was. His point of view. His thoughts. Everything about him was understood by this very person. This person. This person that left him. How were they back? They went to Canada. They were meant to live there. Last time he saw them was before his dad died.
"You should probably use the inhaler. You look pale already.." Y/n chuckled slightly. Adam nodded slowly, raising the inhaler up to his mouth again. Instead of using it properly though, he inhaled the inhaler.
Cough, cough.
"ADAM!"
.
.
.In the hospital.
"Ughhh-. What happened?" Adam asked, slowly opening his eyes. Suddenly, he got squeezed so hard, he could have died right there in the hospital bed. "Adam! I'm so glad you're okay. I was so worried.." It was Y/n. He now remembered what happened. He inhaled the inhaler. He was practically near death.
