"Hey Adam!" Y/n shouted, running over to meet her best friend. "Hey Y/n. You're on time.. Why?" Adam asked worriedly. Y/n frowned. "Shut up Adam!" She said, crossing her arms. "It was just a question!" He argued, earning a slap on his right arm from the girl. "Ow!" He complained as he rubbed his arm. "That's what you get, dummy." Y/n smirked. They walked inside of the school, grabbed their things from their lockers, and went to class.

"Ughhh, that was so boringgggguhhh!" Y/n complained loudly. Adam shoved her to the side as they walked. "Ouch! Jerk." She hissed in pain. "Yeah yeah, whatever. Just stop complaining." Y/n groaned at him. "You suck."  "I try." Adam replied.

After school, Y/n and Adam went to his house. "Hey Mrs. Reed!" Y/n exclaimed, buckling her seatbelt. "Hello there Y/n! Hope Adam's been behaving recently?" Adam's mom questioned. "Mom!" Adam shouted. His mom laughed, along with Y/n. "I'm just teasing." After that, Y/n and Adam talked the rest of the drive.

"Let's go play Mario Kart!" Y/n said, grabbing Adam's hand and pulling him inside the house. "I bet I'll win." Adam announced confidently. "Pfft. As if. We both know I win every time." Y/n laughed. "Uh-huh. Sureeee." He said, starting up the game.
As time quickly began to pass, Adam's mom shouted to the pair that she was going to get pizza. After they went to say goodbye, Y/n and Adam continued their game.
"I'm bored." Adam said. They had been playing the same game for almost 3 hours. "Why, cause I'm winning?" Y/n smirked, pausing the game. "No, it's cause I'm bored." He replied. Y/n frowned and said, "You're boring." Adam rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

Just then, Adam's dog Hawking started to bark. The two looked over to Hawking, confused. "What's wrong bud?" Y/n asked, walking over to the loud animal. She began stroking his fur soothingly. Usually that would have calmed the dog down, but this time he barked louder because of it. Y/n and Adam shared a look, and grabbed flashlights from the closet. Adam grabbed his phone, but Y/n decided to leave hers inside the house, just incase. "Hey, do you see that dim blue light over there in the woods?" She whispered to Adam as they walked. "Yeah, let's go check it out. Maybe that's what Hawking was barking at." They both made their way into the forest. Hawking could still be heard barking from the living room.

When they got to the light source, there was a plane. "Did a plane crash here?!" Y/n questioned quietly. "No we would have heard it!" Adam whispered back in reply. "Hey nerds, could you both shut up already?" A man spoke causing the two children to jump back in shock. "AHHH! WHO ARE YOU?!" Y/n screamed, Adam grabbing her hand tightly. "Ow- god you are so loud! Will you just shut up, please." The mysterious man complained, plugging one of his ears and squinting. "Who the hell are you?" Adam questioned, pausing Y/n slightly behind him. "Kay, kid, calm down. We both know you couldn't protect her if you tried... And- you've tried." The man mumbled the last part. "Huh?" Y/n mumbled, confused.

"Ughhh-" Someone groaned from inside the plane. This time it was a woman."Who's that?!" Adam asked, confused. The man sighed, running his hand down his face and pinching the bridge of his nose. He closed his eyes and said, "That's my fiance." He crossed his arms, staring at the tiny children in front of him. "What's her name?" Y/n asked curiously. "Her name is Y/n."  "Oh- what a coincidence my n-" She started to speak but got interrupted by Adam pinching her arm, earning a complaint from her. "Her Nana is named Y/n too!" He told the man standing before them. "Uh-huh.." He spoke, dragging out the huh. Y/n stood there and looked back and forth between both boys. "You guys look pretty similar.." She said, dazed. Adam turned to face her, confused. "I don't look anything like him!" He told her. "Yes you do!" She argued. "Nope." He replied. "Ye-"  "Will you both just shut up?!" The man shouted, obviously annoyed by the two bickering children. Both Y/n and Adam went silent for a while.
"Dam, my head hurts..." The woman, Y/n complained from inside the crashed ship. The man instantly went soft, rushing over to help her out. "Thanks babe." She said through clenched teeth. "Are you okay?" He asked. She nodded. "I just need some Advil, sleep, and bandages." The other Y/n replied. Then, she looked over at Adam and Y/n. Her arm was still around the man's shoulders, his being placed around her waist. "Who are they?" She asked, confused. "I think they are us.." The man whispered into her ear. Her eyes widened at this comment. "Sorry, what's happening?" Adam asked. "Okay listen up kids, you're us. We're you. Got it?" The man said. "Huh?!" Y/n shouted. "That's impossible! Time travel isn't real you crazy weirdo!" She was clearly speaking before thinking. The man, possibly future Adam, glared at her. "Listen brat. You have no idea what is and isn't real when it comes to science." He spoke angrily. "Calm down Adam.." The other Y/n said holding his arm. "Look you two, we need somewhere to stay for a few days while we fix our ship. We aren't supposed to be time traveling, it was an accident. If someone finds out back in our time, then things could get really bad." She told the two. Y/n had fear in her eyes, while Adam just nodded. "You can stay in my dad's garage. My mom is asleep right now so if you need any food you can come in, just stay quiet. No stealing my stuff though." He warned. The other Y/n nodded with a smile. "Thank you." She said.
