Y/n had a deep fear of water. This forms a bit of a problem though, as her boyfriend is the son of Poseidon. Percy enjoys swimming a lot because he feels more connected to his family. To his father. Percy invites Y/n to swim with him all the time, but she declines. He has offered to sit in the shallow water with her. She says no. He has offered multiple times to teach her how to swim. She says no. At this point, he doesn't know how to help.
Today, Percy and Y/n went to sit by the lake as it was a day with a hotter temperature. For a while, they just talked. "I mean, yeah I guess. I always assumed he was gay." Y/n said, shrugging it off as if it was nothing. "What?! You thought-" Percy paused his question mid sentence, laughing so hard that he almost fell off the rock he was sat on. "You thought Grover was gay?!" He finally finished through his loud laughs and gasps of air. Y/n sat with a unfazed expression. Eventually, her nutcase of a boyfriend had stopped laughing. "Hey. Do you think you'd go in the water if I was with you? We could stay right at ankle high if you want." He asked. Y/n almost shook her head but decided against the action. Instead, she nodded slowly. Percy sprung up from his rock immediately, pulling her hand with him. "Wait! We need to put on our swimsuits." She reminded him. Percy agreed with this and quickly pulled her to the cabins. He waited outside of her cabin as she changed. Once she finished, they walked over to his cabin. Now it was Y/n's turn to wait outside while her boyfriend changed. Y/n wore a cute one piece swimsuit.
