And that's how our nights were spent, awaiting the weekend in Hungary.
Talking to each other on the phone, staying up way past our bedtime - laughing and sometimes crying.

It became a part of our nightly routine.

A week in we even talked on the phone during the day - when he'd be on his run or when I was out shopping for groceries.

Charles: What are you making today?

Aurora groans: I don't even know!! I might as well just order something when I get back home-

Charles laughed: Noo- you can do this!! How about pasta?

Aurora: ...from scratch? Yeah no I hate you Charles

Charles: I can teach you how to make it! We can FaceTime or something-

Aurora: Nope- I just decided on soup, good try though

Charles: I was so cloooose

I walked through the store looking around for the ingredients for the soup I now so proudly decided I was making.

Charles: What soup are you thinking?

Aurora: Uhm- probably mushroom soup or fish soup

Charles: Will you bring some to the track tomorrow?

Aurora: The soup is better- newly made-

It was pretty obvious that I was lying, but Charles never questioned me about it. He knew I wasn't ready for him to meet me just yet.
Despite how much he was trying, I was just nervous.

Honestly freaking out.

Aurora: Plus it's going to be hard bringing the soup onto the plane to Hungary??

Charles laughed low: Yeah you're probably right about that. I didn't even think about that. When will you be arriving tomorrow?

Aurora: Uhm around 1:30 pm which means I should make it in time for qualifying right? Qualifying is around 4 pm?

Charles: That is correct- I'm gonna have to go, it's second practice session time!

Aurora: You got this Charles, I believe in you!

Charles: Thank you love.

*call ended*

I looked at my phone as he had said the last word of his sentence. Not helping the corners on my lips forming into a smile.
As I finished shopping everything I needed for my now decided mushroom soup, I walked towards the bus that would take me back to the house. Once I reached the stop by my house, I had finished my playlist that was playing in my headphones. I walked into my home, that was once filled with laughter, love and family members.

Maybe I should move out of here.

Everything reminded me of them; walking to the kitchen to make food, going to the living room to watch tv, going to the bathroom, walking around the block, going to bed.

I need to move out of here.

The mushroom soup was now finished and I was watching the practice as I was enjoying it.
