They haven't talked to each other for weeks.
Aurora had been sleeping for longer - missing the calls from him.
Charles has been working harder - missing the calls from her.

Auroras phone lit up as she was laying in her bed later that night. She didn't know that it would be so late - but with the time zones it made sense.
She picked up the phone.
"Heellooo" he chuckled a bit softly on the other line.
"Hi Charles, how are you?" She put her phone on speaker as she cuddled down under her blanket.
"I'm a bit tired, it's been a looong day. How's my favorite photographer doing?"
"Oh you know, just the usual. Not a lot going on over here, I am a bit tired too I'm not gonna lie- but hearing your voice makes it better"
"Yeah I'm sorry we haven't been able to talk" He tilted his head, his lips giving a small pout - not that Aurora could see that.
"Heyy you don't have to be sorry, it's my fault too you know" She looked at the ceiling.
Why was everything so awkward?
There was a small silence that filled both of their rooms.
"Aurora" he started but at the same time he heard her.
"Charles" they both chuckled.
"You go first" he was quick to say afterwards.
Aurora took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry for what happened in Japan, I didn't mean to push you off- it's just been rough talking about everything with Dr Dayne. Uhm- I uh I have trouble with intimacy because of- my uncle. I just want you to know that it's not anything to do with you because you're literally the most soft and caring guy I've met. So- yeah I feel like you deserved to know. Just give me some time"
"Aurora- you never have to apologize for that. If something feels uncomfortable I'm happy you'd let me know instead of just going with it. That wouldn't feel right to me."
