Chapter 111- The Damsel In Distress

Gaurav is seething beside me as we silently drive towards their place. The girls are sleeping in the back. Anticipation gets the best out of me when he keeps absolutely quiet, he's not the angry kind- I always push his damn buttons.

I need to grow the fuck up.

"I-"

"Shut up." He lets out a low growl, my eyebrows shoot up in shock and I stare at his blood-covered wrist. I don't even feel sorry for what I did. What I do feel sorry for, is the fact that I left him alive. He parks the car and we both quietly get out and open the back door on either side. Happens so, that Ava was sleeping behind me and Siya was behind Gaurav. We both don't bother changing sides, I lift Ava and shut the door using my leg. She snuggles into my chest, and we both make the way to the door of the house. Gaurav carefully unlocks the door without dropping Siya and carries her upstairs to her room. I shouldn't be touching Siya right now, concerning recent events.

I take Ava to her room and lay her down on the bed. She turns to the side, I take off her heels, cover her with a blanket and kiss her forehead. "Sweet dreams, Singhania."

"I love you." She mumbles in her sleep. I smile and leave the room.

Fatty and I need to talk, I go upstairs and grab the handle to Siya's door. The door opens automatically and a fist comes flying in my face. "You asshole!" My head reared back with such force that I almost fractured my neck. My back bangs into the wall across from her door. I cover my nose with my hand, blood gushes from my busted nerves. "Shit!" I hear him say and he rushes down the stairs. Pain shoots across my face as I screw my eyes shut. Fatty hit me. I pushed him to the edge.

"Here." He comes back with two pillows and a towel. Pressing the cloth against my nose, he makes me lie down. One pillow goes under my feet while the other goes under my upper back- making my head hang due to the height. "I'm sorry," I mumble through the damp, red cloth. He holds my arm.

"No, I am sorry. I shouldn't have hit you. You are my best friend."

"Doesn't mean you shouldn't... at least when I need it." I let out a self-depreciating laugh which makes my head throb harder. Dammit.

"I thought you were coming into Siya's room to well... worsen the situation? I mean she's forbidden fruit." He whispers as if Ava will jump out of bed at the sound of her bestie being the topic of conversation. She really can. I chuckle at his archaic reference. And then it dawns on me. Gaurav has no clue what's going on between me and Siya. I feel guilty for hiding things from him.

"About the forbidden fruit- I've gotta tell you something." He nods at me.

Okay. Let's do this.

"How many times did you guys do it while Aves and I were in Nevada?" I quickly put out my fingers and start counting off. "Siyu's bedroom, the kitchen, bathtub, the office, balcony and the pool. Yeah! Also, on those stairs-" I point down at the flight of stairs which once only experienced the touch of human feet. "Okay, shut up. I got it. You guys were auditioning for starring besides Lana Rhoades and Johnny Sins. Enough." He looks disturbed. I don't blame him. "I can't believe she's cheating on Eric and you too are... collateral damage?" He sighs, and I shake my head.

"I mean, after all that she's been through... I'd give her the benefit of the doubt." I subtly defend her.

"Why did you hit Eric?" A beast I left back at the club, snarls in my chest. "I don't know what exactly happened between them, but she had a panic attack after their argument and the fucker didn't stop yelling at her shivering body until I interfered. What did you expect me to do? Smile at him? He's been going out with her for months, he should've recognised a trigger response when he saw one. I don't want her to drown in those damn pills. They have side effects on the body. Hell, excess of anything has side effects on the body." I pinch the bridge of my nose, and the bleeding almost subsides. The pain remains.
