—KABIR—

I hate to admit it but I wanted Siya to ghost Eric. I have said that before.

I come home from work, Ava hugs me and Fatty greets me with the raise of his brows. "Did she go with him?" Ava asks, I nod at her taking a seat at the table. "I called her once, right before she was supposedly about to see him... but she didn't pick up my call. Should I call her again? It's been an hour." I look up from my lap to find Ava smiling at me and Gaurav trying to control his laughter. I glare at the two of them.

"What? She always answers my calls! Moreover, she told me that she'll be back in an hour!" I hiss. Ava walks over to me and hugs me from behind. I frown, she kisses the top of my head. "Maybe, she was with him when you called, so she didn't answer. Also, don't call her again, it might worsen the situation if she is breaking up with him right now and you- the suspect behind the break up calls." She's right. I let out a breath. "Relax, it's eight right now. Maybe, she's on her way home."

"Maybe." I whisper. "She'll be home by the time we are done with dinner." Fatty tries to console me, but I want her here right now. It's been an hour, and I haven't spoken to her since the bagel.

We eat our dinner and today it was my turn to do the dishes because Siya pointed out last week that we are not being ideal guests. I wipe the last plate and look at Ava and Fatty watching TV. I sneak upstairs into my room and call Siya, she's unreachable. I call her three times after that and each time it's the voice of that cold hearted bitch who tells me that my girl is unreachable. Like hell she is.

I call Natalie before giving it a second thought and she picks up on the second ring. "Mr- Mr. Singhania? Goo- good evening! What can I help you with?" She squeaks, I roll my eyes.

"Is Ms. Mehra in her office?" I get straight to the point. "No, Si- I mean she left early today."

"I know that. Did she come back?" I'm so close to yelling at her. And does she call her boss by her first fucking name? Outrageous. "Mr. Singhania, she told me to take the rest of the day off. I wouldn't know if she came to the office." She sounds sorry. "Let me know if you hear from her. Also, did she tell you where she was going?" I know this conversation might turn into a controversy but I don't give a flying fuck. "I will let you know, and I have no clue where she went. Is everything okay?" Natalie asks carefully. I appreciate her concern. I don't think anyone in the office would give a shit even if I died. That's because you are an asshole to people.

"Let's hope everything is okay. Thank you, Natalie." I tell her.

"It's- it's my pleasure, Mr. Singhania." The surprise in her voice makes me feel weird. Do I never thank people? I cut the call and my phone falls in the process. Shit. I kneel to pick my phone but stare at my hand instead.

My hands are trembling. I gulp and pick my phone. It's nine- thirty. Something is wrong. I check Siya's location but- I can't. Oh god. I rush downstairs. "I'm going to find Siya." I grab my keys. "Kabir, you are overreacting. She-" Ava walks to me. "She is not fine." My heart thuds in my chest. Ava's eyes widen, instinctively she grabs my arm. "She's not reachable, she's not at work, her secretary has no idea where she went, I can't see her location and it's almost ten—"

"Let's go." Ava drags me towards the door and Fatty shuts the door behind him. He throws a key towards me and I catch it.

"Should we go to the cops?" Ava looks worried. "No, we are not sure if she's missing. I don't think now is the time to drag this." Fatty looks at me, I nod in agreement. "Fine, I'll go to see Eric and the office, you guys go to the Krav Maga classes and anywhere else she might visit- a club or something?" They both agree and Ava sends me Eric's address. Dude lives far.
