18)Gunned Down

Heavy pants could be heard on top of the subway station.Hurried footsteps ran across the large building's roof.

The dark night makes it harder for our female lead to run without tripping.

"Ouch!" She slowly got up and rubbed her knee before continuing to run.

Minju looks around to find a way to escape,until Jun arrives.He is holding another gun that Minju never seen before.
"Did he managed to kill one of them?"

"Use the emergency stairs!" He pointed at the stairs at the corner of the building.

They jumped and walked down the stairs, only to find David on the ground.His mad expression along with viens popping on his neck could be clearly seen.

"There you are!" He angrily shouted before firing a barrage of bullets at them.
His submachine gun tore the metal railing of the stairs.

"Come back here!"He yelled again to the two that walked back up the stairs. The staircase support almost came off as it made a shaky movement.

Fortunately,the two main characters manage to jump back up the subway station roof.
"Are you okay?" Jun asked Minju, to which she replied with a nod.

Danny finally climbed up the ladder but couldn't find the two targets.

"Where are they?!" He looks around while raising his hand grenade over his head.

Jun and Minju are hiding behind one lone brick wall.There are a couple of glass bottles beside him,which made his accidental step on them cause a noise.

"Hah!" Danny turned his body to the sound.

"Jun!" Minju nudged his arm, clearly irritated by his clumsiness.
"Sorry...."

"Ka boom!"Danny cheers before pulling the grenade pin and hurling it towards the wall. The grenade hits the wall and bounches to the floor of the roof.

Jun takes a peek, and he gets chills looking at the grenade.Literally a meter away from where they are standing,he quickly
pushed Minju further away, making her fall to the edge of the roof.

Jun kicks the grenade away, making it fall from the roof.

*KBBOOOUMMM*

The explosion destroyed the entrance to the subway. Devan was shocked to see the large fire from the van.

On the rooftop-
"Damn you, Claude!"Danny angrily exclaimed.He pulls out another hand grenade,making Jun run back and helping Minju get up.

"What was that for Jun!?"She asked angrily because of the sudden hard push.

"No time for that! Jump!"He told her while pointing at a building in front of them.It has a higher floor than the subway station and a cracked window could be seen far from them.

"You do it first!"Minju said she was scared of the height of the building.Jun,without wasting time,instantly leapt across the building; his body destroyed the cracked glass window.

"Uurf!"He landed on the floor of a bedroom, and his left arms got pierced with shards.But he paid no attention to that and turned around to Minju from another building.

"Jump now!"He said this while opening his arm. Minju hesitated, but Danny is walking closer with a grenade in his hand.

"I'll give you a kiss after you jump!" Jun promised her, and without a second thought,she leapt up and landed in his embrace.

"Kkergh!" His back hits the floor, almost blackening him out.

Minju noticed the injured man, who was embracing her on the floor.She placed her palms on his cheeks.
