Being married to my worse fear....

Chapter 21

Kristyn's POV: 

Today was the day that Niall and I are becoming parents. We got up early and I took a shower and washed my body with a special soap that I needed to use and I also washed my hair and put it into two French braids so that I didn't have to worry about it getting messed up during recovery or the surgery. We left for the hospital and we got there in about 30 minutes. We walked in and they got us checked in and into a room as quickly as possible just with Niall being a superstar and stuff and we didn't want the fans to find out where we were. They gave me a gown to put on and I put it on and they got my IV set up and Niall held my hand while they were putting it in and they finally got it in. Niall said he had something for me and got a teddy bear out of his suitcase and told me to press the hand and I did and I heard a heartbeat going and he told me it was our twins heartbeat. It was the best present ever I'm so grateful for him!

Niall's POV:

Kristyn looked so cute in the gown that they gave her and we were waiting for the doctor to come in and tell us what to do next. I decided to give Kristyn her anniversary present and she loved it so much! I'm so grateful for her and I can't believe we've been married for 9 years and having our first daughters. I'm so excited to finally meet them!

Liam's POV:

Kristyn and Niall left for the hospital early and Sabrina and I were going to be there a few hours later. We slept in and then got up and got ready to go and I know that this day is about Kristyn and Niall with his birthday and their anniversary but Sabrina felt bad that Kristyn had to have a c-section so she decided to do the same.  Niall was the only one who knew the plan and he was texting me and he told me that they just took Kristyn back to get prepped and he was going back in a few minutes and that he won't be able to update me once they let him back I told him to text me when she was out of surgery and he texted me back 'will do.' I'm hoping everything goes well for her.

Niall's POV:

After they took Kristyn back they told me that they are gonna get her set up and then come back and get me so I can be there next to her during everything I told them sounds good and I texted Liam to keep him updating and he said they were going to be heading to the hospital soon. They came back a few minutes later and I went back with them and I stood right next to Kristyn and held her hand she started talking to me and I think it helped keep her mind off things. 

Kristyn's POV:

When they took me back to get me prepped they told me that I would feel a sharp pinch when they put the epidural in and let me tell you it hurt like hell! Yes I'm a dentist and I got shots all the time in my mouth during dental school but it's different getting a needle in your back. They finally finished and laid me down and they went and got Niall and he came back a few minutes later and came right by my side and held my hand my doctor said he was going to start cutting and that I shouldn't feel anything just pressure when they start pulling the twins out. I gave him the ok sign and he started cutting and I couldn't feel anything I started talking to Niall to take my mind off things. "You ready for this? We're not just having one kid but two." "Babe, I'm so excited! This is what I wanted my entire life and I'm so grateful for you and giving me kids of my own, I can't wait to raise these girls with you." "I love you so much! I'm so grateful for you!" "I love you to babe!"

Niall's POV:

Kristyn and I got so caught up in talking that we didn't realize they were pulling our first baby girl out. They lifted her over the sheet and she was the most beautiful baby ever they asked me if I wanted to cut the cord and I said of course so they had me come over and cut the cord and they took her and went to weigh her and all the fun stuff while they started on getting her sister out. Not even 5 minutes later her twin was here and I cut her cord as well and they repeated the same as they did with the first baby and I cut the cord on her as well they started to sew Kristyn up and they handed me our girls after they did everything they had to do. I looked at my little girls and they were just so beautiful and they look just like Kristyn and I can't stop staring at them I showed Kristyn the twins and she just broke into happy tears. They finished sewing her up and they started wheeling her to recovery and they said she wasn't allowed to hold the twins for about an hour because they need to keep an eye on her during recovery and just make sure everything is going well. I just felt bad that she could't hold them right away. 

Kristyn's POV:

When they showed me my babies I fell in love with them already and they were so beautiful Niall got to cut the cord on both of them and he just looked so cute with them. I could just tell he was so in love with them and it was so cute to see him with his girls I finished getting sewed up and they wheeled me to the recovery room I wasn't allowed to hold my babies for the first hour and that was hard because all I wanted to do was hold my babies. The hour felt like it went by so long but when I finally got past that hour mark they wheeled me to my room and I was finally able to hold my babies. Niall wheeled them over to the bed and lifted them out and over to me and I got to do skin to skin with them and they were so little I started crying and I just looked at them and Niall started crying as well. I can't believe these are our daughters!
