It's been the fourth day since we arrived in the Maldives.

Natalie wanted to spend time with me, so we went shopping for her upcoming baby, whether it's a girl or a boy. Even though I wasn't feeling well, I agreed. I had a feeling that something was going to happen.

I asked Axel if it was okay, and he said it was fine. He had to go somewhere, so for now, Natalie's husband was with us while Axel was away.

Minutes after roaming around the mall, we found ourselves in the baby clothes section.

Suddenly, Xavier spotted Axel with another woman walking around the mall. Natalie and I saw it too. Axel's hand was on the woman's shoulder, and they seemed to be having a conversation.

Natalie spoke to Xavier briefly, then she took my wrist and led me outside the mall. I was still in shock, unable to believe what I had just witnessed. A tear escaped my eye, and I felt a wave of emotions.

Does Axel truly love me? Or was I simply assuming his feelings for me?

“Riela?” Natalie spoke with a concerned tone.

“I know what you saw because I saw it too. I know you're hurt,” she comforted me.

“Your feelings are valid, Riela. You can cry whenever you want.”

“Remember? Since high school, you've been infatuated with Axel, and I always told you that he likes your sister, but you didn't pay attention.”

“Axel isn't good for you.”

“You're beautiful, kind, and humble. You have everything, Riela, but you're naive when it comes to guys.”

“Guys like Axel don't deserve your tears.”

“Maybe let's get some rest first.”

“I want to rest,” I said, still teary-eyed.

“You'll rest at our villa, Riela. I'll talk to Xavier about what happened today,” she said while gently comforting me.

“But first, you'll get your clothes and stay with us for a while. I'll explain everything to Tita, so you don't need to worry about anything,” she added.

Her words brought comfort, and I began to realize that maybe Axel was in love with another woman. We both understood that our parents had forced him to marry me.

A few minutes later, we went to Axel and my villa to get my clothes, then headed to Natalie and Xavier's villa. They helped me pack my things, knowing that I was hurting.

Once we arrived at their villa, Natalie guided me to the guest room. She understood that I needed some time alone to rest.

I've always been grateful to have Natalie by my side. She is the most understanding best friend I've ever had.

Here I am now, lying on the bed, crying. The pain feels unbearable, like a constant ache in my heart. I don't want to feel this kind of hurt anymore.
