I was stunned to see what I had just witnessed.

It was Axel and Ate Ella.

This was the second sign that I had asked God for. I had prayed for a second sign to reveal the identity of the girl who had been with Axel for months.

And it was her...

Ate Ella...

I felt betrayed.

Both of them betrayed me!

I'm so incredibly curious.

Are they together?

Do they love each other?

Are they happy together?

They didn't even bother to look at me suffering in this arranged marriage.

They didn't ask me if I was okay.

I've never been okay since I entered into this marriage.

I've never felt so hurt before.

Axel was my first greatest love and my first greatest pain.

I had my dream wedding, but even I couldn't create a happy family.

Ah, so it's true, the high school gossip in our school that they had been together for months.

I wish I had listened to Natalie when she said they loved each other since high school.

God really heard my prayers. He listened to all my pleas, witnessed my tears silently pleading every night.

Ate Ella noticed me first, her eyes widened in shock at the sight. Axel, too, was surprised to see me with another man.

They began to walk towards near our table and sat down.

I tried to ignore them and focused on Sage, who always talks and giggles with his corny jokes.

Thirty minutes later, Sage sensed my discomfort due to Axel's glare.

"What's wrong?" Sage asked.

"Nothing."

"Don't you want me to talk? Do I talk too much?"

"No, no..."

I told him I wasn't feeling well, and I was thankful he understood.

He drove me home. I thanked him for being there the whole day, then I went inside the house.

I walked towards the door and turned on the lights as it was so dark. I went to the bedroom to change clothes and take a hot shower.

Hours passed since I had a hot shower, and I decided to rest for a while. I heard footsteps approaching the door. All I knew was that it was Axel coming.

Axel opened the door and walked towards me.

"Who's that guy you've been with?!" He said angrily.

"Just a friend of mine," I said calmly.

"Just a friend, huh?!"

"Why do you even care?"

"Because I'm your husband! We're married!"

"Marriage on paper, as you said, Axel!"

He became speechless.

"Since I ruined everything, right?"

"All I know is, I was patient and kind to you all the time."

As my tears pleaded once again.

"You just treated me like your wife in the weeks after our wedding."

"Don't you know yourself? You've become cold towards me and always come home drunk!"

"You, yourself, know what you did!"

"You don't even realize how much you've hurt me, not physically but emotionally."

He walked towards me and hugged me.

"I'm sorry, hun... I'm so sorry."

Your apology can't ease the pain you've caused me, Axel.

"I didn't know that I hurt you that much."

"Forgive me, hun."

If I forgive you, will you change for the better?

"Give me a second chance to change."

If I give you a second chance, will you change for the better and become the man I asked God to give me?

A man who's a walking green flag, a gentleman, who understands me all the time, especially my mood swings, always gentle with me, and only in love with me?

But all I asked God for was the complete opposite of you.

You're a walking red flag. You're not that gentleman, you can't understand my mood swings, and lastly, you're not in love with me, but you're in love with my sister Ella.

I'll endeavor to forgive you, though the trust that was fractured can't heal spontaneously.

Forgiveness is within reach, but the our memories persist.
