The next day arrived, the day I had eagerly anticipated. Axel and I would finally start living together in our new home.
Upon waking up, I couldn't shake off the embarrassment I felt from my emotional outburst yesterday in front of everyone.
The day unfolded with the return of my beloved brothers after a five-year absence. Their homecoming stirred up a mix of emotions within me.
After spending some time with my brothers, they escorted me to the house where Aunt and Uncle warmly welcomed me.
Ate Ella wasn't able to join us due to her hectic schedule, a fact that I understood.
Unfortunately, Axel couldn't pick me up either as he had to attend to an urgent matter at his company.
We were handed the key to the house by Axel's parents before their departure the day before.
The house was a modern two-story dwelling with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a common toilet. It boasted a spacious garage for four cars, a pool, and a beautiful garden.
As I explored the house with my brothers, I envisioned a future where Axel and I would reside here with our two children.
Was this just a dream or a glimpse into what could become our reality? I held onto hope for the latter.
On this day, I bonded with my brothers in the absence of Ate Ella, establishing a closer connection with them.
Deciding to make the most of our time together, my brothers and I headed to the mall for some leisurely shopping.
While at the mall, we stumbled upon an ice cream parlor.
"Kuyas, can we get some ice cream, please?" I requested.
"Of course, princess," Kuya Dave responded.
We indulged in some delicious ice cream before venturing into a clothing store to browse and make some purchases.
After selecting the items I desired and adding them to my cart, Kuya Luca inquired, "Is that all you want, princess?"
"Yes, Kuya Luca."
"Add a few more items," he suggested.
"No, that's enough, Kuya."
"Are you sure? You only have 24 items in your cart."
"Yes, Kuya, I'm sure."
"Alright, I'll cover the expenses since I haven't had the chance to treat you since returning from abroad," Kuya Luca generously offered.
As Kuya Luca paid for the items I had chosen, my brothers decided to hold onto them for me.
As we were contemplating where to grab a meal, I caught sight of a familiar face resembling Axel's accompanied by an attractive woman. Axel had his arm around the girl's waist.
Deciding to keep this observation to myself, I made an excuse to head home with my brothers, concealing what I had seen from them.
I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that Axel might have repeated his actions. Would I forgive him once more? Was I only hurting myself by believing his assurances of love and loyalty? Did he truly want only me, or was there another woman in his heart as well?
