The collective thoughts of the three was broken when everyone clearly heard cracks. They all looked at the source. And what they saw really made Blaze gulp in fear.

Amidst the game of xiangqi¹ with the Mer King, is Bai Ying whose holding one of his pieces with sheer strength that the vein in his hand are clearly visible. It clearly shows his strength, but for Sebastian and Duan Luan, it is Bai Ying, controlling his strength to not pulverised the poor chess piece.

The Mer King who is clearly enjoying the game while also swallowing his pride with his continuous loses against the prince since they started playing the last day, kept all the knowledge and strategy that the prince intentionally shoving inside his mind. He can only sigh helplessly with his people's shameless acts and silently praying to Him to make the immortal prince not to wreck havoc because of it. Though, he will never blame him. But, these people afterall, are his citizens. Unfortunately. But still, he is flabbergasted with their shameless antics.

Blaze thought about the piece as his bones and it terrifies him. He let out a low whimper that go unnoticed to everyone but his brothers and beloved. He knows his wrong, but he didn't know that these mer people are so shameless. He is also angry to their shamelessness, but he just swore to himself to 'pay' for his 'sins' later on.

Blaze started to pace around. He looked at the eleven individuals in front of him that are now 'standing' in one neat line. He examined them as his eyes lingered at the blue haired prince longer before he turned his head to his brother's and mate's direction. And with a nod from the three and the silence of his mate's, he decided to start the challenge.
