"Where to miss?" I asked her.

"Well...We have a few options..." she said. We had talked about getting out for so long and how we'd do it. I suppose neither one of us were prepared for what we'd do once we did. One of those thing's you can't really make out in your head, until it's happening.

All we could do was anticipate leaving and planning for others to leave. I suppose neither of us were thinking positively enough to think about what'd come after all that. Truth of the matter was, it was all a suicide mission. We didn't really know if we'd make it out.

It was kind of an unspoken thing between us. Both of us knew where that road could've taken us and I suppose we both thought it would've taken us to a dead end... but there we were at the train station... not only at a crossroads but more of an intersection. There were so many options out there, we just had to choose which direction we ought to go.

"Well, tell you what..." Sadie said. "The law is probably looking for us. Not as much us as them... so we won't have to lay too low but we should lay low for a while" Sadie said. I nodded my head in agreement. "So... Let's start with tonight" Sadie said. "Let's get some distance and get a room tonight" Sadie said.

"I say we head to Blackwater" Sadie said. "Sure... I like Blackwater" I said. "You do?" She smirked. "As a matter of fact... I do" I said. "Didn't peg you for much of a city girl" she smirked. "I'm not... Blackwater... it has a country feel to it" I said. "Ever been?" I asked.

"Briefly" she said. "You know me... I don't care much for civilization at all, so even a place like Blackwater is a city to me" she laughed. "Yeah, I can see that. It is one of the bigger one's, I'm not saying it's not... but it's no Saint Denis" I said.

"Oh Lord... don't remind me of that place" Sadie made a disgusted face. "Tell me about it" I shook my head. We mounted up and began our travel. We talked for a while, distracted by our future and what we'd do with the time we had all of a sudden. It was nice.

The more we rode, though... the more we had time to think about what just happened. It was a lot to wrap our heads around. We may not see most of these people for the rest of our lives. Going from seeing them everyday, being the only ones you really know... family even...to gone, soon to be strangers.

Then... We had time to think about Arthur. Sadie was quiet... and I know the main reason was because he was on her mind. "Wanna talk about it?" I asked. Sadie pulled herself out of her trance and looked over at me. "Arthur... I mean" I clarified. "No... it...I..." she was at a loss for words.

She sighed. "It's okay, we don't have to talk about it" I said, smiling at her. The sun was setting, and the air had a slight breeze to it. The sunlight hit her face perfectly, cascading over every feature. "He was... my best friend" she said.

"I just... it doesn't feel real" she said. "I know" I smiled at her. "He was the best... a hero" I said. She smiled. "Yeah... he was" She agreed. "He means... meant... a lot to me" she said. "I know he did" I said. "He was only other man besides my Jakey that I trusted" her voice broke a little but she cleared her throat like the tough girl she was.

"He was good" She said. "In the end... the really showed that the most" she said. "I don't know what I believe in..." Sadie began to say. "As far as an afterlife" she said. I looked at her. "I suppose it's a nice thought to think of him and my Jakey... in heaven or someplace like that" she said.

"I just don't know if I buy it, though" she said. "I don't know if they're really gone though. That part is really what gets me" she said. "You know?" She asked. I nodded. "Where to do we go when we're gone?" She asked. "That's the real question" she smirked.

"Are we ever... gone?" She trailed off. "I'm talkin too much" she laughed. "No... I love hearing you talk" I smiled. She blushed a little. "You know..." Sadie trailed off. "I think my anger that I had before..." she explained.

"I think it's just turned into a series of questions... and the flame... it's still lit, right? But you know what?" She asked. "What?" I smiled. "Believe it or not... it isn't a raging fire anymore. I can't... I can't explain it" she said.

"I'm still angry... but to tell you the truth, that's who I always was. I've always been a bit angry" she laughed. "But I'm not furious..." she said. "I don't... I don't want to see the world burn anymore. Just the bad in it" she clarified.

"Y/N... I think I've grown in all this" she laughed. "I think so too" I smiled. "I've seen a difference, at least..." I said. "Yeah?" She asked. I nodded. "Yeah" I said. "I'm figuring it out. Who I am... now. After... you know?" She said. "I knew you would... it was only a matter of time" I said. She smirked at me.

"You were right that night" she said. "When you said that... about me figuring out who I am now, not who I was" she said. "And you know what?" She asked. "What?" I listened. "I think I was mourning two people" she said. "My husband and... myself, who I used to be" she said.

"I think that's why I was so lost... because I couldn't see muscle without him" she said. "Some days, I'll be honest with you... I still don't" she said. "But... my life now? It's a good one. I think it'll get even better too" she said.

"I think so too... I'm excited to see where this road will take us" I smiled. "Wherever you go, I go" Sadie nodded at me. I laughed. "Wherever you go, I go" I repeated back.
