-Tanjiro has long hair like Tanjuro did in the anime.

-Muichiro wants to work as an author, but her parents want her to become a doctor or a lawyer.

Sunlight seeped through the windows, causing a young girl, not yet twenty five, to slowly awake.

Once awoken, she got out of the warm comfort of the tangled mess of blankets and sheets covering the once neat bed.

She walked across her near empty room and took a clean pair of clothes out of a drawer. A dress shirt and a pair of black jeans. That was her chosen outfit for the day.

She ran her fingers through her short hair in an attempt to neaten it.

The girl begrudgingly exited the room she was once asleep in and went to the kitchen.

The girl, Muichiro was her name, was always the first awake of her family. Her family, a family of four, barely acknowledged Muichiro.

When she was acknowledged, it was for something bad and she would be punished for it. The only things that counted as 'bad' to her parents were things like grades and career choices. If it wasn't something like the previous examples, then they were telling her how her twin brother was better than her in every way.

Despite what their parents tell her, Muichiro and her twin, Yuichiro, had a decent relationship. They didn't talk much, but understood each other well.

Speaking of, Yuichiro entered the kitchen with un-brushed hair and wasn't yet changed for the day.

"Good morning" Muichiro's said to her brother in greeting.

Yuichiro yawned before repeating the greeting with a tired sounding voice. Unlike his sister, Yuichiro was not a morning person. He preferred staying up until 3am to going to sleep earlier and waking up feeling rested.

The two stood in a content silence, savouring every moment of peace before their parents would disrupt it.

"What are you two standing around for?" Ah. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. The twin's mother entered the room, already displeased with the existence of her daughter.

This wasn't uncommon. Muichiro's parents never wanted her anyway. She didn't expect either of them to treat her with kindness anymore. Heck, she didn't even expect them to acknowledge her nicely anymore. She didn't care at this point. So long as she wasn't getting hurt, that is.
