Muichiro was struggling to get through the crowd. He was on a call with his boyfriend, Tanjiro. Tanjiro had just gotten to the place that the firework show was at, and the two were trying to find each other.

While trying to get though the crowd, Muichiro bumped into someone, and almost fell. "Sorry! I didn't mean to!" He quickly apologized. When he looked up, he saw that he'd bumped into Tanjiro.

Tanjiro took Muichiro's hand, and pulled him into a quick kiss, knowing that everyone was too focused on themselves to care. "It's fine, love. Don't worry." Tanjiro reassured him after pulling away from the kiss.

Muichiro's cheeks were tinted a light red color. Being kissed randomly always caught him off guard. "Right..." He replied, still flustered. Tanjiro laced his fingers with Muichiro's, and lead him away from the crowd.

The two found a nice spot on the grass where they'd be able to see the firework show. There weren't as many people in that area yet, as the show would be starting in about fifteen minutes.

"Muichiro, stay here for a moment. I'm going to go get the chairs." Tanjiro told the other. After receiving a nod and an 'alright' from Muichiro, Tanjiro went to his car and got the chairs.

Muichiro stayed in their spot, making sure that no one else took it before Tanjiro returned. The crowd gradually got smaller, as more people found spots on the grass. Kids were running around catching fireflies, adults were talking, and teenagers were being teenagers.

Tanjiro got back with the chairs, and set them up for him and Muichiro. The two sat down, waiting for the firework show to start. A sparkle of fireflies were dancing around them. Muichiro reached up, and caught one, making sure not to crush it.

"Tanjiro! I caught one!" He slightly opened his hands to show Tanjiro the glowing bug that was sitting on his palm. "Good job, Muichiro! Those can be hard to catch sometimes." Tanjiro reached his hands up to a firefly that was near him, and carefully caught it.

"I got one too!" The two eventually let the poor fireflies go, and watched as they flew off. Tanjiro checked the time, and realized that the firework show would be starting soon.

"We've got about... five minutes." He informed the other. "Got it. We still have a good amount of time to talk." The two spent the rest of the time talking, until their conversation was cut short by the first firework flying into the sky.

With a loud boom, it exploded into a beautiful display of colors. Muichiro flinched at the loud noise, and covered his ears, still looking up at the sky. He'd seen fireworks before, but forgot just how loud they were.

More flew into the sky, and exploded. Pinks, greens, reds, yellows, and blues filled the sky in a magnificent display. Muichiro was watching in awe, looking like a little kid. Tanjiro chuckled softly at this, a small smile present on his face as he turned his attention back to the sky.

More colors filled the sky, some creating shapes, others just fizzing. Some made different sounds than others. Boom! Fizz! Crackle! Fireworks filled the sky. Muichiro kept his ears covered the whole time, but enjoyed the beauty of the fireworks.

The finale was the best part of the show. Lots of fireworks were shot in the air, each one bigger than the last. The last one was the largest and most colorful of them all. A true spectacle.

The younger kids were cheering and applauding when the sky went black and the show finished as if it was a concert or a play.

Tanjiro and Muichiro looked back at each other, a small smile present on both of their faces. "You know, the fireworks were beautiful, but you're more beautiful than any of them." Tanjiro broke the silence.

"Shut up. I'm lucky I'm not gluten free, because you're cheesy as hell." Muichiro responded. "I think you mean lactose intolerant, love." Tanjiro corrected him. "Yeah, whatever. Same thing."

"It's not- You know what, whatever. It's fine." Tanjiro gave up, leaning back in his chair. "You're still cheesy as hell though." Muichiro commented, also leaning back in his chair. "Yeah, yeah. I get it."

Muichiro checked the time, seeing that it was starting to get late. "I should probably be getting back home now. I have to wake up at a normal human time for work instead of a normal 'me' time."

Tanjiro sighed softly, knowing that they'd have to part ways soon. "Finneeeee, maybe I'll come by the cafè you work at tomorrow." "Yes, please do. It gets so boring sometimes."

Muichiro helped Tanjiro collapse the chairs, and the two bid farewell. With a final kiss, Muichiro and Tanjiro went to their cars and drove home.

Just barely cranked this out before midnight-
Guys I'm alive and managed to write a chapter! Yay!

I got this idea while I was watching a firework show earlier in my cousin's backyard.

This wasn't specifically made for the 4th of July, as I know some don't celebrate it.

Also, one last thing. Earlier it stated 'a sparkle of fireflies'. The name for a group of fireflies is a sparkle, just wanted to clear that up.

That's all for now. Have a good day/night and I'll see you next time I get motivation! Bye!
