It was 1:45pm on a normal school day. Muichiro and Tanjiro were in their creative writing class.

Their class was to do a group assignment. When they were told this, Muichiro and Tanjiro immediately looked at each other, knowing that they were going to be partners.

"You don't get to choose your partner." their teacher informed the class, earning lots of groans from the disappointed students.

"Now listen up so you can know your partner." the class went silent. He started rattling off names. "Tanjiro Kamado and Miyuki Ishiguro." (I am unsure if any other anime characters have that name, sorry if it's unoriginal).

Muichiro and Tanjiro looked at each other with disappointed faces. Though, deep inside, they both knew that they probably weren't going to be partnered together.

Tanjiro looked around the room to find the girl named 'Miyuki'. The teacher finished calling out names, but Muichiro never heard his name.

While everyone went to find their partner, Muichiro went up to talk to the teacher. "Um... Tsugikuni-sensei?" Muichiro asked his teacher nervously. "What do you need Tokito?" His teacher response.

"Well, I never heard my name called. Do I have a partner?" his teacher looked at his list and then answered Muichiro's question. "We have an odd number of students and I don't want to put you in a group of three. I also think that you could do perfectly fine on your own. Maybe even better than with a partner."

"I see. Thank you." Muichiro thanked his teacher politely. He went back to his seat to see that Tanjiro was over with his partner.

When Muichiro was talking to the teacher, Tanjiro went to find his own partner.

Eventually, he found her. She was a pretty girl with long, soft light brown hair, which was put up with a hair clip. She had soft green eyes and bangs.

"Ah. Hello Tanjiro" she greeted him kindly. "Hello." He greeted back. The two started planning their writing project. They had to write a short story told from a third person point of view. It had to be at least 500-1,000 words long.

Meanwhile, Muichiro was struggling trying to come up with a story. He always struggled with writing. Actually, it wasn't writing, it was coming up with ideas for the story or poem he was going to write.

He was thinking about writing a story about a girl living in Italy and meeting a boy who just recently moved to Italy from France and didn't know th language and the girl had to teach him without knowing French herself(actually story idea I had, except my original idea was wlw).

That was how he spent the rest of class, taking occasional glances at Tanjiro and Miyuki, of course.

Muichiro and Tanjiro met up after school, as usual. "So... How's your partner?" Muichiro asked his boyfriend. "She seems nice..." Tanjiro said with a smile.

Muichiro forced a smile and nodded, wishing that he could be Tanjiro's partner.

"Oh right," Tanjiro started "I'm going to work on the project with Miyuki today, so I won't be able to hang out."

'Weren't we going to go to the mall today?' Muichiro thought, but only smile and replied with "alright".

Muichiro got to his, and his brother's, apartment and greeted his brother, who got home before him.
