"Caine is here" I took a deep breathe standing up from Trinity's sofa, My nerves were all over the place right now

"Okay just text me if you need anything"

I nodded grabbing a jacket to put on because it was cold outside, once I put on my jacket I walked outside seeing his car in the driveway

He leaned over the center console opening the door from inside, I got in to the car closing the door "Hi" I spoke softly looking at Caine

Caine analyzed my face "Wassup" He responded back still looking at me making me grow nervous under his stare

"How you been T" Caine put his car in reverse driving out the driveway "I've been good, how about you?"

"Nah like for real T, how have you been?" He emphasized on you I chuckled looking out the window

"Past couple of months have been crazy and new that's for sure" Caine nodded "Heard you got a job"

"Heard you're owning your own business" I smiled looking at him he smirked chuckling "Yeah, Jewelry Store"

"Something you always wanted to do, I'm proud of you Caine"

"Thank you"

"What's the name gonna be?"

"I don't know yet" He shrugged I gasped "Aren't you opening like in two weeks?"

"Nah probably next month"

"Oh okay" I nodded, Caine pulled into the local park's parking lot I smiled looking at the exact spot where me and Caine met

"Man it's been so long since I've been here cuh" Caine got out the car I followed behind him getting out myself

We walked over to the bench that was on the side of the basketball court "You remember when I accidentally hit you with the basketball" Caine asked me chuckling as he put his arm on top of the bench

"Yeah and then I cursed your ass out cause why you hitting me with that nasty ass basketball" I sassed looking at him

Caine chuckled manspreading on the bench getting comfortable silence settled between us a comfortable silence

"We were so young" I spoke low "Man and you wouldn't give my ass the time of day"

"Cause you were a hot commodity still is, I wasn't dealing with that" I waved my hand smiling Caine scoffed before smirking

"Look T" Caine looked over to me taking a pause finding his words "I apologize for how things went down between us a couple months ago, I'm a grown man but I wasn't handling it like a grown man"

"I apologize for how I made you feel during our relationship and even how I made you feel after, I was selfish and I thought just because I had you and Riley straight everything else was good" Caine went on making me tear up slightly

"I love you T, imma be real withchu that love is never going away"

"I'm truly sorry for how I treated you and made you feel including getting Janiesha pregnant, I should've never been fucking around in the first place regardless if we were broken up or not" Caine finished, a tear slid down my face and I began sniffling due to me crying and it being cold outside

"Thank you Caine" I spoke soft, his apology was doing a number on me because this was all I ever wanted to hear from him a apology

Caine nodded wiping my tears "I'm not bullshittin you T, I'm sorry for real I had many nights to think about this shit and I just kept thinking what if Riley was in this same situation how would I feel?"
