"Next ride!" Riley spoke excitedly as we got off the kid ride, Me and Trinity chuckled making our way to the next ride

Trinity and I were having a girls day and we decided to have Riley tag along with us, we were having our girls day at the fair

"You not hungry pumpkin?" Trinity asked sipping her drinking "No" She shook her head I rolled my eyes playfully "Yes you is, we haven't ate since we step foot in here"

"But I want to keep riding"

"And you need to eat" I countered back looking at her sternly she pouted crossing her arms now having a slight attitude

"Jesus when did she get so sassy?" Trinity asked, I shook my head "Tell me about it"

We made our way over to a food stand that was selling turkey legs I bought one for me and Riley because she was not about to eat a whole one by her self

Trinity went and got a hotdog, we all sat and ate "So you excited for Auntie TiTi birthday" Trinity asked causing me to laugh, Trinity's birthday was coming up soon and she was planning to go to Disneyland and stay there for three days

"Yes! I love disneyland" Riley spoke with excitement "T can we have a sleepover?" Riley then asked I frowned looking at her "I don't know baby we have to ask your daddy"

"Okay" She nodded eating more of the turkey leg, after we all finished eating we continued to sit at the table Riley was slowly dozing off leaning on me

Me and Trinity were in our own little world, my phone began to ring I looked at the notification seeing Caine calling me

I answered the facetime call putting my face in the camera "Where my baby at?" He immediately asked I shifted the camera over to her now completely sleep

"Damn she can't hold up for shit" Caine chuckled I turned the camera back over to me "She got that niggaitis" I chuckled "What y'all eat?"

"A turkey leg"

"Nah" Caine gasped I laughed "Yes bro, How you gon go to the fair without getting a turkey leg?"

"That part, we would get one and then some every time we went" Caine chuckled making me laugh "Want me to bring you one?" I asked as I adjusted Riley to lay comfortably on me

"Yeah I would appreciate that, lemme apple pay you"

"No Caine I got it" I shook my head "Nah ma just let me pay for my shit"

"Caine, I don't need yo money I got you" I looked at him seriously through the phone "Aight coo Tiana, I didn't ask what the fuck you needed I'm telling you I got it" He rebuttaled back making Trinity look up "Oop" she spoke giving me a face I rolled my eyes

"I'm not using your money Caine, I'm gonna spend it on Riley" I shrugged, he shook his head chuckling "Whatchu gotta be so damn difficult fa?"

"Cause you not my man Caine, I don't need to rely on your money" I shook my head he smirked "Aight T, just use the money fa ya bills or sum" He ended the conversation I rolled my eyes

"I'm gonna spend it on Riley like I told you"

"Aight T, you win" Caine chuckled giving up I smiled shaking my head "Alright, we gon be leaving soon so Riley should be home in a little"

"Fs"

"Bye" I spoke last hanging up

Trinity laughed I looked up at her sighing "He so in love with you"

"Shut the fuck up Trinity" I rolled my eyes playfully "He always trynna pay for some shit, like nigga you not my man it's okay I got me, Riley and you if needed" I went on Trinity smiled looking at me

"What?"

"When you gon give that man a chance again"

"I don't know" I sighed "Soon maybe?"

"Tiana, i'm not trying to have this conversation again but I'm really just curious what is your plan?" She asked I looked elsewhere thinking for the answer of that question

"I just, I'm just scared Trinity" I finally revealed "Of what T?"

"Of me losing myself again, I just relearned myself and I want to enjoy this version of my self properly"

Trinity looked at me emphatically "Tiana, there is always going to be a new version of yourself throughout life, now if you keep going on this path yes I support it and I say do you but I also want you to keep in mind that at one point you are going to want companionship again"

"Are you sure that if you let time pass and Caine moves on with his life, you're not gonna regret your decision?"

"Yeah, but still if he's not there then maybe we're not meant to be" I shrugged, Trinity nodded not saying anymore prompting me to fall into my own thoughts

Maybe I just needed to be open with Caine about my
feelings, then we can move forward from there

"Damn you got my baby knocked out" Caine chuckled as he grabbed Riley from the backseat I smiled getting out the car

Caine walked over to me, Riley had her arms wrapped tightly around Caine now

"Thank you for spending some time with her" Caine thanked me I nodded handing him his turkey leg "And the leg"

"No problem" I smiled small he nodded turning around to walk into his house "Caine" I called his name "Wassup" He turned around

"I'm scared to get into a relationship again" I blurted out he frowned "Huh?"

"This whole time I've been saying I want to be in my singleness but it just also because I'm scared to get back into a relationship with you"

"I'm scared I'm gonna lose myself again" I expressed Caine looked at me with a soft expression on his face

"You lost yourself with me?" Caine asked softly "No Caine that's not what I'm saying"

"Nah T just keep it real dawg, I did you in that bad that you didn't even know who you were"

"Caine my life was just consumed with you that I forgot who I was"

"I didn't have time for me or to explore who I was because I was always trying to please you, now that I'm pleasing myself it's different"

"Well Tiana if you wanna stay single and do you, you can do that ma"

"I don't want you to later resent me because you felt like you didn't live out the life that you wanted" Caine looked at me sincerely I nodded looking down

"Thank you for understanding Caine" I looked back up smiling small, He nodded turning around continuing the walk to his house
