comfortable blue wide-legged sweatpants and a gray hoodie. I put on a pair of Uggs.

I quickly put my curls up into a messy bun atop my head, leaving a few curls framing my face, and then grabbed my school bags before heading down to join my family for breakfast.

As I entered the kitchen, the usual morning scene greeted me-Mom, Jayden, and Dad already seated at the table. Mom held her mug in her hands, leaning back against the counter with a casual air.

"So, we haven't done a daily check-in with you guys at school. How's everything? Anything you need to tell us?" Mom asked, her tone casual yet attentive.

Jayden seized the opportunity to share some news, and I couldn't help but be intrigued. "School's going great. Everything's fine. But there's this girl..." he started, and my jaw dropped as I formed a smile, anticipating his next words.

"You joking?" I interjected, unable to contain my excitement.

"Nope, not joking," Jayden replied with a smile.

Mom's reaction was immediate-she jumped up and hugged him. "Ah, finally found yourself someone. It's been a long minute," she exclaimed with delight.

"Tell us about her," I chimed in, genuinely curious.

Jayden proceeded to share details about the girl he liked, and I could see the sparkle in his eyes as he talked about her.

"Aw, well, I'm happy for you," I concluded, feeling genuinely thrilled for my brother.

"Bring her here sometime; I'd like to meet the girl who's stolen my son's heart," Mom said with a smirk, adding a touch of humor to the conversation.

Dad turned to me next, his expression expectant. "And how about you, Kiara?"

"Well, um, everything's really good," I began, my voice reflecting my contentment. "I'm genuinely happy where I am currently. My friends are awesome-I love each and every one of them to bits. Grayson and I are doing well, and dance is going good too. I adore my team. Haven't run into Aiden lately. Thank the heavens. But besides that, I'm just really happy and love where I am currently in life," I explained, feeling grateful for the positive aspects of my life.
