Chapter Eight

Dakota's pov

The moment I pushed her she hissed I looked at the spot I pushed then back into her eyes and kept her attention on me while I applied gentle force on the spot that I pushed before making her hiss once more

"Fuck what's wrong with you" she says sounding mad. It's hot not gonna lie

"Take your shirt off for me please" I say politely because she doesn't seem to enjoy being challenged. She looked like she was considering it for a moment before she spoke

"No. Bye Dakota" she said as she stepped out the car and headed for what I'm assuming is her car. Why is she such a flirt and why did her eyes alone make me falter I couldn't keep my grip anymore and all she had to say was let go. Away from that, there's something going on with her and I wanna know what and she's going to tell me even if I have to bully it out of her or should I say force it out of her.

I start my car up and back out the driveway following Jade's car. Why? Simply to get on her nerves she looks like someone who's easy to piss off.

Kade's pov

Why must she be this difficult. It's not that hard the Empress and Emperor will be here in an hour and she chooses to go on a joy ride because she's mad my mate's know what I think I know that's just auggah. I grab my phone and dial Jade's number while Dy calls Koda.

Jade and Kade's conversation

J: you're on speaker. Can I help you

K: yeah get your ass to the school parking lot
     now we need to talk.

J: sorry I'm to busy trying to loose my
     beautiful mate who seems to think I
     can't sense her following me.

K: Jade's with you?

J: no Jade's behind me. Keep up Kade

K: Jade please for me

J: I didn't ask you to tell anyone Kade I didn't
    even tell you the full story and your little
    Circle already knows what you think you
   Know and I don't like that. I'll see you during
  school hours Kade bye.

End of call

Okay maybe I did push buttons I shouldn't have. But Jade has never been the type to get mad when Shane or anyone of my partners knows something so why now? I just don't understand <sigh>

I head out and get into my car where Shane and Lyra are waiting for me Dylan is taking her car because she has to drop Amoux off and meet her parents before school.

"You seem stressed my love it's not like you to be stressed" she's right stress and I don't go together at all  "do you wanna talk about it?"

"Jade's mad because you guys know what's happening with her and I don't understand why because it's never been a problem before so why now" I ask so confused

"Darling did she say you could tell anyone?" Shane asks

"No. But Jade knows I don't keep you or any of my trusted friends in the dark it's been that way since we were kids so why now"

"Maybe this was something she just wasn't ready to have shared maybe it's something she's been navigating by herself for the longest time and having you find out out of the blue was never her plan and when you did find out she wanted to talk to you about it before you let anyone know." Lyra says and it hits me Jade hates dad and she doesn't hide that fact not once I remember when it started I just thought she preferred mom. How could I be so blind she's exhausted almost half of the week and when she's not she's in pain I'm her comfort place but so is Shane and I never once thought to ask if she's really okay I'm a terrible person and I don't deserve grace.
