Jade's pov
I'm brought back to reality by a slap to my cheek, I shook my head in disbelief and shock, a dream a day dream that's all it was, nothing but a hallucination. I looked at my twin and my legs began to walk towards her I crouch down to pick her up and when she's secured in my arms I whisper to her "I'm sorry, so so sorry" my voice cracks as tears fill my eyes. "I swear I'll make him pay he'll beg me to kill him, he'll wish he had never touched her in the first place and when he begs for mercy I'll make the pain more excruciating." I say to no one in particular. I reach my car but before I could open the door Dakota's Ma stopped me
"There's an ambulance there to take her and in it is one of the best nurses to ever live." She says all this while looking me in the eyes reassuring me that Kade will be safe "trust me it'll be like the scars where never even there." She says then gives a warm smile. I nod my head to agree then walk to the ambulance to lay Kade down and the moment I get to the door a beautiful Amazonian woman is standing right by the door to get my sister and take care of her, I gently place Jade on the bed and kiss her forehead before turning to the Amazonian beauty behind me
"Take good care of her please"
" she'll be as good as new before the day ends" she says and I slowly nod my head though I'm confused as to how
"Thank you" I say then step out of the ambulance and head to my care where I find Dakota sitting in the driver's seat, I tilt my head to the side like a confused puppy
"I'm driving get in"
"And who said you can drive my car?"
"I did, I drove it here didn't I? Now get in or stay out."
"I see" I say with a smirk then head to the passenger's seat. She's gonna be so much fun to tame I think to myself
"What's got you all giddy and excited your sister is in an ambulance" she says while facing forward , I grab her thigh and give it a light squeeze making her flinch a little.
"Now now love just because I let you off the first time doesn't mean you're at liberty to taunt me."
"Jade move your hand from my thigh before I deny the mate bond" She threatens
"Oh baby girl, that would be painful on both sides and I'm no masochist" I say with a smile
"My Mama would never let me suffer such pain so only one of us will be in pain" she says with a smirk
"Funny how you think it's the physical pain that kills you when it comes to letting go of the one you love" I shake my head
"You speak like you're experienced in this field"
"Dakota love is not a game, allowing yourself to care for another individual is a responsibility you need to take accountability for. You can't just go throwing the word love around like it has no meaning, I'm not experienced in love but I have had to stand at the side while I watch the person I hope to spend eternity with kiss and fuck other people and that alone was painful imagine losing them just after the first day of them knowing that the goddess picked them to be yours." I say in a sad tone
"Jade from what I've seen a lot of the school population has a crush on you girls and boys alike why didn't you per-sue any of them?"
" because unlike you my beloved mate I see love in a different light and I also need to have a connection with someone before I per-sue them. I didn't want to deal with the pain of regret I've had enough of that I don't need it to haunt me in the future so I chose to wait and observe and regardless of it being fate that we are ment to be together I still had to step back and observe you before even engaging because I needed to be sure you actually got to know me and I got to know you before anything"
