"Lyra, her father is only preparing for two come on it would be disrespectful to show up with everyone"
"I don't give a damn Koda I'm not going there for the food but for Jaiyana I wanna personally make sure she's okay" she says
"Okay and all of you feel the same?" I ask scanning all there faces, they all nod there heads yes and I sigh "come on before I change my mind" I say and they smile very proud of themselves.
It's the end of the school day and we're heading to Jaiyana's house to make sure she's okay because I'm genuinely worried she was passed out at the corner of her street, I told the crew and they want to know the details so they can be sure she's safe and if not then a whole investigation will break loose especially since Lyra has found an interest in her <sigh> being intense is my thing why must they always medol its frustrating that's my thing.
"Okay we're here. Now everyone be on your best behavior" I say as we all approach the front door after exiting our cars
"Nadine hey" I say with a smile
"Hi Dakota it's nice to see you again" he says with a smile
"Umm are you gonna introduce us?" Kade asks
"Sure. Nadine these are my friends and family, Kade, Jade, Lyra, Dylan, and Shane. Guys meet my hopefully new friend Nadine" I say and they all smile, nod and great each other "okay cool now that we all know each other it's time to see Jaiyana" I say then ring the doorbell a few minutes later Jaiyana's father answers the door
"Good evening sir sorry for the extra crowd they are also your daughters friends and where worried when I informed them of yesterday's mater so they insisted they come with I didn't think you'd mind." I say politely and he smiles a genuine smile
"Of course not come in I'll make more snacks and call Jaiyana down" he says in a sweet tone this man is the perfect parent which really makes me think.
"Thank you sir" we say in sync and walk into the house
"Jai darling come down stairs your friends are here!!" He calls her in a fatherly tone. Is it just them? where's her mom? these are personal questions. But I'm curious maybe I'll ask next week
Jaiyana's pov
"Jai darling come down stairs your friends are hear!!" I hear my fathers voice calling me man his great at acting it's amazing how he can go from abusive to "caring" in seconds because he was literally yelling at me and hitting me before the doorbell went off and all because I asked what he'll be having for dinner and if we had the required ingredients to prepare his meal <sigh> I wash my face and head down stairs.
"Im here did I miss anything" I asked
"Jaiyana" Lyra yells then rushes to hug me I avoid flinching because my dad's looking at me and watching my every move I can't give any sign that I'm afraid of the man or he'll make me fear him more.
"Hey Lyra is everything okay" I ask her as I hug her back
"Are you okay" she asks
"Im fine my father took good care of me" I lie but this time in a controlled way because these people can sense the change in tone of voice and the increase in heartbeat giving them the indication that I'm being dishonest
"Who wants snacks" my father walks in with a tray of baked goods and drinks as well as a bag of snacks I head over to help him and he smiles at me warmly it's creepy "thanks Jai what would I do without you?" He says in the softest voice. He'd probably be happy without me because all I am is a stress relief and punching bag to him. I smile back at him and kiss his cheek "thank you Dad" I say in a polite tone.
