Chapter Eleven

Jades pov

I finally woke up from what felt like an eternity of sleep and the first thing I saw was Dakota laying her head on my thigh as she rested so peacefully. But that can't be good for her back

"Dakota, hey baby wake up" I whisper

"Hm" she hums so adorably then slowly opens her eyes and the moment they lock with mine, everything frizzes around us and my breath hitched for the first time ever and all because of those beautiful different colored eyes of hers "oh hey baby how are you feeling?" She ask's ever so softly. Wait did she just call me baby?

"I'm okay gorgeous. Why are you sleeping so uncomfortably?"

"Because I didn't want to hurt you any more than you already are dummy" well there goes the sweetness, she's back.

"That's the Dakota I know" I say with a chuckle

"Yep and you better have a great explanation as to why you decided not to tell me you're my soulmate. Failure to that I'll make sure you permanently can't move but I'll keep you alive!" She growls

"So scary"

"Jade!"

"Okay okay I'll talk geese. I knew there was a possibility of you being my mate from the moment Lyra described you. I just had a feeling, but then she said you don't like the idea of commitment and you play to much. So I thought it would be better to give you time but also attract you to me, you know flirt, help you, be there when you need me, compliment you and frustrate you all at once. I wanted you to fall for me and choose to stop what you're doing and choose to love me not because of the mate bond because that's mostly your wolf but because of who you view me as and my actions." I explain and she looks at me with glossy eyes.

"Lyra knows me so well but that, that was beautiful I guess you did get me to fall for you. Because I thought of you every time I tried to sleep with someone else I couldn't even kiss other women anymore it was weird but I knew it was you because vivid pictures of your lips and face kept going through my mind. I was so drawn to you and I didn't know why." She says and I smile. So she does like me and she's been thinking about me score!.

"Why didn't you say anything about you being abused and how long has the abuse been happening?" She asks the question I didn't want to answer

"Since I was eight years old actually. I didn't say anything because he threatened to hurt Mom and Kade and all because I saw him with three other women his an asshole !" I growl

"Don't growl you're not an animal" she says then laughs making me laugh

"Yeah I never did anything wrong but he decided I was going to help him make money in any dangerous way possible"

" and you just let him do that to you why?" she asks curiously

" because my love, Regardless of  how much of a dick he is, My mother still loves him and my sister always trusted him and so in order for me to keep my family together I had to make a sacrifice even if that meant taking the hit, regardless of how many times I fell I needed to get up. Not  for me, not for, him but for my sister and my mother. I would do anything for them even if that means giving up my own freedom"

"That wasn't your choice to make if your mother found out this was happening it would break her heart." She said with watery eyes. And that made me sad so I pulled her to my chest and hugged her.

"It's okay my love I'm okay" I whisper in her ear softly and kiss the top of her head.

"You're not okay and you don't deserve this"
